So I've not been to a club before, but I really fancy having a night and going to my local club, just to see how things go down if you will excuse the pun,

I have to admit to being a tad nervous in case I see someone I know from say work or socially so it's been a hard decision, but the fact that your talking £25 upwards for me to get in in the first place not knowing how long I will be in there is the biggest hurdle

Do clubs ever offer a guest list for newbies "a taster hour or 2"

I totally understand why there is a price, to keep out the riff raff, but surely they could prior arrange and give a discount code out to a newbie for a first visit?

What's your thoughts?

Yes I'm a tight Yorkshire man

OP when you go to the cinema do you ask them if they do a "trial price" where you pay to see the first 15-20 minutes to see if you like the film before paying for the rest of it?

No? I thought not. Don't be tight! I reckon you spend more than £25 on a night out at a regular nightclub.

This exactly.

There and to the left a bit

Think the above two posters have nailed it OP

Some clubs do hold newbie nights that give you the opportunity to go along and see what it's like and be there at the same time as other newbies etc - but they're no more reduced rate than a normal night I don't think.

And £25 really isn't that much these days - cheaper than going to see a Premiership game of football, or a gig or the theatre - even a night out down the pub probably costs more if you don't sit and nurse your pint!!

If £25 is too much then don’t go, nobody’s forcing you.

However as long as you don’t look like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle and you’re polite then you’ll probably have a great time, which for £25 is a bargain.

Thanks for your comments, it's not the £25 really, it's more the getting over the nerves and the not knowing, the £25 is just the last step I guess and the easiest excuse

If I'm honest and I do tend to be and quite openly, I'm more concerned that it would be a dissapointment, a night where I sit at a bar (do they have these) like an odd man out or what's the phrase? Spare cock at a wedding or something? I haven the had the best of luck on here so although I personally know how funny I am and great company I would be, I worry that the lack of attention on here would be the same in a club.

God I sound like a right fanny! No offence to fannies

Most clubs do indeed have social areas that are no different from a normal bar unless it's a dress down club - so if you go try and treat it as a night out at a bar in town with no expectations of anything happening. Go along prepared to make eye contact, smile and engage in conversation, all the while accepting a polite no thanks (if it happens) graciously and you won't go far wrong.

If you've gone on a night that allows single guys to attend there will be people there looking for single men to chat to and potentially play with so by being prepared to do the above you're potentially going to be what those people are looking for.

Whatever you do though don't join the wanking zombie conga line that tours the club once play begins!!

Like I said, treat it as a normal night out at a club and you won't have gone far wrong

Filthy Desires Upon Trent

If you just sit at the Bar, talk to no one and hide in the shadows, you are unlikely to have a good time.

Speak to people. Be polite. Be funny. Be you and stand out.

You will need to take the advice given above as unless you have a 14 inch Solid Cock or look like a God, then the couples/women won’t drop at your feet.

Also, don’t become like an annoying Wasp following a particular couple/woman wherever they go.

Good luck and enjoy xxxxxx
