I have blocked someone on this site as have told him I no longer wish to meet and to respect my wishes of no further communication.

He is not respecting that and keeps texting me to apologise and to say how bad he feels. I am ignoring them and not replying. Can anyone suggest what else I can do?

am now feeling harassed and it is upsetting me.

Is there any way you can block his txt messages?

On my phone I can add a number to my blacklist and the txt messages get deleted as soon as it comes through.

I don't have to contact my provider, I just go into txt message settings then add a number to black list.

My phone does not have that facility and orange can do nothing either unless I change my number which is not an option.

grrr would think all phones would do it these days.

Only thing I would say now is try to delete the messages without reading them, he will get bored eventually.

and

Maybe buy a cheap phone in the future just for the naughty scene that does have a blacklist feature?

A Home Among The Woodland Creatures

I would give the guy one last chance to back off.

send him a message accepting his apology and trusting that he will be enough of a man to take that on the chin without resorting to becoming pathetic, needy, and a borderline stalker case - remind him that none of those traits are attractive.

Drop in a veiled threat reminding him that as a single guy on fab, having a good reputation is crucial to his success, not fogetting to remind him that while naming and shaming in public is not allowed, ladies do talk to one another in private.

Send him one last message asking him to stop contacting you. Also put in that message if he does not stop you will get the police involved.

+1

Buy a cheap £5 mobile that is pay as you go. Use the second mobile for swinging only. If you get another idiot you simply change your sim/mobile number on the second phone.

Both the above answers ,and contact your provider, they can stop texts, block a number, simply tell them he is abusive and demand to speak to a manager if they refuse.

Cant remember the part of the telecommunications act and Sir is a very busy bunny this week...but will try to find out and message you.

All good advice above and another option to consider is getting a trusted male friend to ring him and warn him off. For some reason men will take that off another man but not from a lady. I know I'm generalising wildly here!! Good luck shaking the muppet off. Not nice I know as been in similar position myself. Ms

the other option for you is to contact the police, if he will not leave you alone when requested its harassment and you shouldn't take it and it could lead to more serious things like stalking or even putting you in personal danger, i know it sounds like scare mongering but i know 2 women who it has happened to before but by no means am i saying that its gonna happen to you! just make sure you keep the messages and take not of when they are sent and what you say in response if anything. good luck with getting him to leave you alone.

I had the same problem until I realised I could block numbers on my phone! Check yours to see if you can, if not, simply ignore him, delete and get on with your life.

He'll soon get bored!

I wouldn't be giving him any further chances, that's what encourages these type of men. Women have got to take some responsibility too. When you say no thanks, end it there. If they respond ignore afterwards. Any further communication makes them feel they're in with a chance.

Just tell him you want to just leave it now and please stop texting or you will block his number. He doesn't know if you have a block facility on your phone or not and he should soon give up.

I have a list of people on my phone with 'Ignore' as their surname, so if one come through from an ignore person i just delete the text without reading it.

Good luck x

Thanks for the other advice I did ring my phone provider and there is nothing they can do. A friend has offered to give him a ring should he text me again and have no intention of telling him I accept his apology, as my instinct tells me he will see that as an invitation to be given a second chance.

He is working my way again in a few weeks and won't be surprised if he makes contact again. Should he choose to do so , on his head be it!!

If you get anymore info jemima regarding that act from sir thats would be good ..

One last message (though maybe send it twice by text and by pm on here) telling him you will contact the police. And if he persists then do contact the police. They will almost certainly take you seriously and warn him off.
