So I’m intrigued to what people on here think is to close for potential meets?

Iv always had a Fantasy of like a hot house wife a few doors down!

And Iv always seem wonen and couples state they want local meets only!

Any feed back is greatly appreciated x

I won't meet guys from my home town, and rarely within 10 miles. It's too close to home! I don't necessarily want to bump into a previous meet over the asparagus in Tesco......

Unfortunately I find very few fab chaps local to me sexually attractive!

I couple of years ago I had a few meets with a hot young guy who lived about 10 minutes walk away - but sadly he moved to London!

Generally speaking though I’d be very cautious about meeting someone very local!

They’d need to be discreet enough not to say anything incriminating if I saw them out and about with my kids or friends, for instance - though I’d be happy with a simple ‘hello!’

I’d also need to be sure that they weren’t discussing the fact that I’m on fab with their friends/people they know in my local area - as I don’t live in the most broad minded of towns!

All in all - there’s a lot of trust involved in meeting someone very local!

Nowhere is too close, we are good friends with a couple just around the corner who we met on here, it's a pity they stopped swinging as we had great fun but we are still great friends.

We both sort of recognised each other from going in same pubs years ago.

Yep, I'm definitely not arranging a meet with someone who lives in the same house as me

. Although I do wonder how many times it has happened on Fab - a couple on two solo profiles being unknowingly attracted to their own partner's solo profile. Reminds me of Escape (The Pina Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes. Or that cringe-making old story line in Corrie where Jack Duckworth made a video-dating profile as "Vince", a rich sophisticated music producer, and arranged a blind date in the Rovers, which turned out to be his own wife Vera

Directly accross the road from me... Lovely couple, known them 14yrs bit of a surprise them spotting me on here!

But I make a point of not meeting anyone local to me, made that mistake once, won't happen again

I used to have a ten mile rule purely for privacy purposes. Now I’m not so bothered but I think someone on my doorstep could potentially be a little difficult.

Ultimately though it’s not really an issue as no one in my locale takes my fancy

Unless it was someone I was absolutely certain would be discreet and not pounce on me in Tesco then I wouldn't meet anyone from my town - beyond that though anything outside probably a 5 mile radius would be fine

But since then I've met people close by and it hasn't been a problem - I like local as I don't drive

We’ve met with a couple in a club a few times and one half of that couple works with one half of our couple. That’s pretty close! Was a total chance meeting the first time and it went well so we’ve become good swinging friends

Because I split my week between Leeds and Newcastle, I NEVER meet at home or surrounding.

I've had a couple of awkward situations bumping in to overzealous meets in shopping centres and stuff.

I keep my "meet life" separate from "real life";

Depends on who they are. If they are single, then I don't have any issues.

But I recently had a guy pestering me cos we were "Within half a mile". He was quite the hunk but... it turned out we were on the same street and he is married. He would message to meet as soon as his wife has gone out or gone to bed.

Needless to say thankfully we never met and I've blocked him as he wouldn't stop messaging me...

No wonder so many of you are rightly cautious...!
