If I hide my profile....

And then change my username will messages previously sent on my old username still show as my old or new username? Been talking to someone for a while but conversation appears to have gotten dark and feeling a bit uneasy

They will show as your new username. Have you thought about blocking them?

I blocked her last night then hid my profile today. Just changed my username too. Was hoping it wouldn’t ping up on old messages grrrr

It would probably be better to delete this account and start a new one and block her straight away.

OP everything stays the same if you change your username. Even old messages will just have your new username on

No need to delete your profile or change your username. You've done the right thing by blocking.
