I'm wandering what other normal people think about this situation.

I'm at the beach, minding my own business when I notice a single guy sitting directly above me o. The dune. The beach isn't that busy, so it seems strange.

Stranger still that he is clothed and looking down the length of the beach with binoculars..

I politely tell him that it isn't commonly acceptable to do that, which he doesn't like to hear.

Young Spanish guy, made a comment if I was cold too, which I thought was an amusing defensive tactic

He was Spanish and used to warmer climates. He no doubt had binoculars as he was a naturalist.
