How many people on here genuinely refuse to give out kik address or have phone contact prior to meeting. Would have thought that would be number one safety tip..

We give KIK if it the other person asks, if we're as confident as possible they are a potential and fit our criteria. We do get it wrong though!

That said I'm happy to just message on here personally.

Would never give a phone number.

Even with KIK sometimes it suddenly seems to get taken as an invitation to message me constantly. It's often too much.

Good fakes will be just as convincing on Kik or WhatsApp sadly.

We always get extra photos on here and go with our gut!

I use Kik, I don't give out my telephone number, I'm not sure how you see that as a safety tip, if anything it's the opposite, so much is linked to our mobile numbers these days that I'm reluctant to give it to aquaintences!

I do, if really pushed have a payandgo sim in an old school basic phone, not even a camera in it but I hardly ever use that.

I use a mix of fab, Kik or number. Understandably different for single girls or even couples. Usually chat on here for a while and if comfortable exchange numbers. Doesn't always happen, that way. If a social or meet is organised and all the messaging is done via here or Kik, I will check the day before and even the hour before we were due to meet, if no reply is forthcoming then I am wary of meeting. I may still turn up for a social as I know phone signal etc can fluctuate. Pick somewhere that is pleasant and you don't mind spending an hour or so in, just in case nobody turns up.

Kik is great for live pics or vid to verify everyone is who they say they are , plus keeping in touch travelling to a rendezvous is easier on there.

I now always use WhatsApp however in the past I have always insisted that phone numbers are swapped imminently and we have tended to find that those that don’t give out their numbers especially guys almost likely the ones that will never ever turn up and Are just keyboard wanking

Always use WhatsApp, would never meet anyone without talking to them first. Also for safety reasons you then have a contact number.

I use Kik a lot because I don't give out my phone number/WhatsApp/Facebook because all of that can link to all of my personal information. I like Kik because it's anonymous, you can chat back and forth rather than the message format on here and also you can swap live photos to prove they/you are the same as Fab pics. Finally, it's not that great but there is a video chat function on Kik which is another great way to see how you get on before contemplating a social meet.

Before we decided to do club only meets , we’d arrange mMF on here, mix of fab messages then arrange a public meet in pub or coffee shop, and for purposes of meeting on the day we’d give a mobile number out so we could liaise on arrival. Phone was a specific sim for that purpose only. Even then, the time waster rate was not inconsiderable. So we nOw just do club meets or occasional arranged group meets . Works well.

Exactly the same here. If you save a phone number then they usually appear as suggested friends on social media. We'll usually search a phone number if we're given one to see if they are who they say they are.

One 'single guy' who messaged out of the blue with their number turned out to have a Facebook account that showed them to be married with two kids. We sent the guy a screenshot of his own Facebook page and he quickly left fab.

We can't be bothered with having a burner phone so we use Kik, fabmail or a disposable email. Only 3 couples from fab have a phone number for us and we trust them totally having met them several times.

I use here and telegram! I much prefer to have control over deleting conversation and pics etc from both participants phones. Pics can't be forwarded, screenshots taken etc... Works for me!

We have an old Nokia phone with sim..we use that..we never give out our personal numbers ..we have family around all day and grown-up kids..can you imagine if they took a call on our behalf because we left the phone on the side or seen a txt ..

I swap numbers with someone I decide to meet on the day we're supposed to meet just to verify, have a means to coordinate social meeting place. That's it. I never give out my number until the day of the meeting

I find my success rate for choosing and filtering is lower when you don't have fill voice chats with someone. I refrain from meeting without a number.

I'm a bit naive ... I think if someone doesn't want to chat then they're not really interested. Plus you could email for weeks and find nothing out about them. In five minutes of organic communication, you'll find out if it's yay or nay AND if they're a phony ...

You can also save pictures from secret chats without the other person knowing. Well I certainly can on mine and it's never told my partner on there that I saved them.
