Suspicious or rightly concerned

Hi all,

We have been listed on meet today and hoping. Well a little while ago we got a message from a couple about meeting at 10pm. Looked over the profile and it's very short, no pics, no verification by others or fab.

Then via message they say female is bi when listed as straight and that she is 10 years older than on profile. Then when asked for pics to see if there's any attraction we are asked for our mobile number.

Maybe I'm getting old and suspicious but alarm bells are ringing in my head. Am I right to be alarmed and suspicious or would you give them a chance.

My advice: always stick to your own terms on short notice meets. Make no exceptions. You'll only be sorry if you do.

A bad meet is much worse than no meet at all.

No I would'nt give anyone a chance if I felt even the slightest bit uneasy

But exchanging numbers is normal for us to be able to have a chat with who we've been messaging, asking for a mobile number does'nt raise suspicions to me

If alarm bells are ringing listen to them. Other people's views are mainly irrelevent but the minute I found out the age was 10 years different I'd have stopped talking.

doesn't sound right to me ... they should know their sexuality and their age, and to be going right in there with mobile numbers etc etc without evenb seeing a picture ? whats the point in that if there isn't a mutual attraction to each other ?

exactly, why would you give someone your phone number, if you dont even know if there is a attraction. To be truthfull, not many at all get my mobile, if we do give one out its usually the male halfs number lol. Only ppl we have met before get mine. Go with instincts, they are usually right x

We did indeed decide against passing on the details.

Mysteriously after not giving the number...the messages stopped. Wonder why.

Didnt feel or sit right and something screamed at the back of my mind.

You can buy a pay as you go mobile for under a tenner that you only use for swing meets.

Give the other potential meets this number & a time to call then speak to both partners.

We would not meet anyone without seeing pics of both partners.

Blind dates are not much fun especially when they have already told you they have lied about her age.

no matter

A ten year gap is quite big.. sounds like a guy playing alone actually. Maybe he scratching round for a lady to make the four.. bad news .. ditch them.

On this occasion, I'd have given it a wide berth!

If ever in doubt, however slight, leave well alone!

If I'm looking to meet strangers, any doubt at all and it's a no go: end off.

I agree with many here, if theres doubt dont do it. Its only swinging, its doesnt have an important impact on your life, therefore if you are not 100% happy then dont do it

Same here!!! I know some guys have amnesia when it comes to their partners birthday and exact age but 10 years out is pushing it a bit.

Should report them to admin too cos surely 10 years age difference is a bit too much to lie about. Bit unfair cos gonna show up in peoples searches and maybe don't want to meet anyone 10 years old than search .... just a thought

it costs nothing to be verified and fab swingers makes it very easy and quick to do, so i would not give them a chance on that basis alone never mind the rest of the false info.

it should be compulsary for all members to be verified.

That's very true about a bad meet being worse than no meet. I'm going to steal that phrase! Ms

This is recreational sex not recruitment into MI5! If people are too dumb to work out warning signs for themselves then I think compulsory testing for more than one brain cell should be a prerequisite!

No you did the right thing.

If we think that something is not quite right or both of us aren't happy, then we wouldn't meet. There are plenty of others to choose from....

I'd be suspicious of anyone in this day and age who cant upload a photo even in private to their account, but has the capabilities to send a picture message via text.

you shouldnt have to exchange phone numbers to exchange photos
