Had abit of shock today when i saw a family member on fab, so ive hidden my profile put my pics to friends only and blocked them too just to be on the safe side but im still paranoid there might be a way around it.....If i stop hiding my profile would there still be no way of them finding me even in the search boxes & are my verifcations ive left on peoples profiles visible to them too?

Sorry if they seem like stupid or obvious questions but i dont wanna have to delete my profile and just want to make sure, so any help is appreciated

There's always a chance that can happen... how long has he/she been on here?

If it's been a few weeks/months then there's a really risk that they've already seen you.

Well, If you keep your pics private and for friends only that should be ok.

Just make sure if they should ever contact you make sure you know that it is them. So be careful

Luckily there new so couldnt have been on here more than a couple of days so i doubt they have seen me, i dont wanna have to keep my profile constantly hidden though from everybody but if ive already blocked them surely they cant see anything of mine anyway??

They shouldn't be able to, it stops them and states that the user (you) has blocked them from viewing the profile.

No it does'nt iclude verifications you have given,but they would have to find the profiles you have verified first and then it would only lead them back to a profile they can't see anyway as you've blocked them

Yeaah im aware of that, its why i made sure its one where they wouldnt be able to tell its me compared to my other photos....tattoos, piercings, facial features etc

Its just the fact their family more than anything, fair enough were both on here and i can see your point. I just wouldnt want them finding out and then the possibility of it getting back to other members of my family, Would rather be safe than sorry

They can still read the forum though...wouldnt it be better to have a quiet chat...and accept you are both here ,and its a private thing between two grown adults

Got to agree with "sassymissuk" they are here for the same reason you are. We had this a while ago when we "bumped" into someone from work at a swingers hotel. Hold your hands up, say hello and get on with it.

I know they can still read the forum which is why im not dropping any obvious hints or making my profile picture obvious.....This is all still pretty fresh as i only just found out a few hours ago so im obviously still contemplating what to do and agree that speaking to them would be wise but we all know its alot easier said than done

While I don't have a problem with bumping into people we know at swingers places I would'nt want to come across a member of my family on here,I would block them too,so many people make profiles for fun,to be nosy,cause trouble as its so easily accessible and takes seconds to do

People don't generally go to swingers clubs,hotels or parties by accident

we always make sure people can't recognize us from the pictures we put on the profile.

Also, we are trying not to show too much of the background if the pics are taken in our house.

We don't think we'd ever find a relative on this site anyway lol

but there is still the chance that work colleagues are on here too and you can not always assume discretion unfortunately.

I don't think that you have to hide your profile - if you have blocked them and have pics only in the private section you should be fine! xxxx

imagine my horor when i aranged to meet a guy from hear ,when sitting in the carpark in some local woods and it turend out to be a guy who drinks in my local and we are quiet pally ,lucky there was another two cars there and i spoted him before he spoted me ,i drove off, however i did contact him and said i new him ,we have since met and are ok with it now ,but the best way to avoid this is to try to get a face pic
