Taxis are as cheap as chips, about €6 from PDI to Maspalomas from memory. Hotels in Maspalomas probably more expensive than PDI, you pay your money to take your choice.

PDI is a tad seedy in our opinion, but has the swingers clubs and bars, Maspalomas is more upmarket and has the infamous dunes. There are also naturist beaches at the PDI end. Not sure what you're really looking for OP, but as another poster has already said, there are loads of threads on the Spain forum so perhaps you'd be better off looking there.

Also it really depends on the time of year you visit. We were hugely disappointed by the clubs (went in September) but understand they are better in October and November. The beach was lovely and we had no issues around kiosk 4. We never ventured into the dunes other than to walk back into town.

I love Maspalomas, it’s a great area with lovely bars and cafes with the benefit of being a nice stroll along the beach or a cheap taxi ride from PDI.

I’ve only been back a couple of weeks but have booked again for June!

We stayed in maspalomas first trip but now go to PDI so closer to night life, both this one and vanilla. It's not seedy at all like some say and we're snobs lol. The resorts are next to each other and not far to walk to maspalomas nudist beach and the famous kiosk 4. All depends what you're looking for. Goldmarina in PDI is adult only and very nice.

Secrets is out favourite club. Clean and friendly. The staff are always so welcoming. 2x2 we Haven't been to for 12 months, it went downhill a little last year, though we heard it is improving again when we were there in feb. FYI 2x2 is in Send ya shopping centre a 5 minutes walk down the road from CITA shopping centre.

We did visit secrets and really liked it in there

We kind of got stuck in the Cita as we were taking taxi's there last time,

hoping to see a lot more of the place this time and like the look of 2x2

We went about 8 years ago and stumbled across the nudist beach whilst walking to PDI. Eye opener

From memory, Meloneras was much nicer than most of Maspalomas and is closer to the Maspalomas beach than much of Maspalomas itself is.
