"I know this has probably done quite a few times but would anyone guys meet a woman with it that’s is so bad it covers 70% of the body? Mines out of control at the mo n it’s making me so self conscious n anxious nervous bout guys wanting to meet me , it’s literally ruining my life I was so confident body wise til this happened , I’m always up front n honest about it before a meet n it’s not put any of my meets off but now it’s worse than ever n I just feel like a leper , I’m due to start puva baths n light treatment next month , but anyone else had this treatment and does it work? And does it put any one off meeting? " I too suffer with severe psoriasis & psoriatic Arthritis. (80% coverage) Had it since age 13. Did all the creams, light therapy and tablet drugs to no avail. For the last 3 years I've been on humira for 1 year and benepali and methotrexate biologial injections for 2 years and currently have less than 1% on my skin, I've never felt so confident and happy in my skin. I would highly recommend you ask for a referral to a good dermatologist and ask about trying these they've made a huge difference to my life. As for people meeting you, if they are worth their salt and gain the pleasure of meeting you it won't bother them none. MS T xx

"One of the most delicious and erotic meets I had last year was with a lady with Psoriasis. She was covered from head to toe, and very self concious at first. But we had a wonderful meet together. Lovely lady........... " Awww that’s so lovely

"Thanks for the lovely reply ... me n dermatologist have many argues bout mine as he wants me to go for the injections , I had fumaderm tablets for a year n they didn’t work just f**ked my liver up , now he says he wants me to do puva baths n light treatment n if that won’t work take tablets for rest of my life n it’s scared me a bit x" Yes there are some risks with tablets/injections but i felt the benefits outweighed them. I like you was MASSIVELY self conscious and got pretty down, and it had a huge huge impact on my sex life...its a horrible condition to have. With the tablets I've taken (methotrexate, cyclosporin, Acietretin) I suffered quite bad side effects so couldnt take them for to lonh and got in quite a helpless state thinking I'd always be a scabby freak (my perception of myself) but luckily with the injections i don't have any,my bloods and liver are stable and up to now it's been great. I know the thought of tablets or injections for the rest of your life seem daunting but if they work well they will long term mentally and in effect physically be a very good option for you. I hope you find a way to help control the condition and get back to your happy, confident, sexy self. All the best sweetie xx

As most have a dress down policy which he finds embarassing. For me if the ladies dont like his skin its there loss. He is great in bed hahaha.

"My pasi is 15 , they haven’t offered me injections just tablets but I refused them after he told me about the side affects , I used to be on fumaderm tablets and the side effects were horrendous so it’s put me off taking any tablets , I’ll ask about the injections next time I go... and to people saying about changing my diet I went dairy free n gluten free for 4 months it didn’t make a difference at all, it’s really pissing me off now just wish it wud do one it’s totally ruining my social life! Thanks everyone for your input on this thread " I've finally gotten round to reading everything on the thread! So, I've been through a mixture of things. The first I can say is yes there are men who will meet, and a decent man (or couple, or woman) would want you to be comfortable so if anything was hurting, they'd understand if you wanted to stop. In terms of diet, you can't follow everyone else's diet you have to find one that works for you. I find beer is the worst, other alcohol next, carbonated drinks, coffee, caffeine, chocolate, dairy, onion, tomato (the list will go on! And it changes depending on the weather. Get your skin out, embrace your body, hit the nudist beaches if you can and keep tying, but most of all you just have to keep moisturising two or three times a day. Try Childs farm moisturising cream - it's been in the news recently x

Fortunately for her, in the last 5 years she has been on medication for psoriac arthritis (arthritis caused by psoriasis) which had cleared her skin practically completely, but her psoriasis was never a factor in our relationship and would never be a factor in whether we meet someone.

"Awwww that’s lovely , I’ve now been diagnosed with psoratic athritis but I’m not too bothed bout it , just need my skin to clear up so much more n then I’ll live with it , it’s anloosu horrible skin disease not many people understand it n as I work for nhs n I’m daily on wards in diff departments I get to see people suffering from this n it breaks my heart Cos I’m feeling same as them x " Acidosis is the cause and a non acidifying diet is the only safe and natural solution, many doctors know this but seeing as they get backhanders from pharmaceutical companies they won't suggest something as simple as a change of diet because it's not profitable. Have a look on YouTube for a guy called dr robert morse, he's a natural healer and he explains many different subjects in great detail

"Hello lovely, you know me, and you know how much fun I’m having here. So what you probably didn’t know was that I was 70%+ for 20+ years. Tried all the PUVA, fumaderm, lotions and potions over those years. Hospitalised 3 times. Finished a marriage to someone selfish and unsympathetic. Then started on injections when they were a trial drug out of desperation. Ustekinomab first then Humira after the trial. That was 10 yrs ago. Quite simply They changed my life. I am having my second life now. And you know your part in that! I still have a few small unbeatable patches because mine is ultra recalcitrant. But that doesn’t stop me living like a recycled teenager with an amazing partner and so many fab friends. Darling, if they are offering you the injections take them. The jabs are painless. Side effects?, none for me in 10 years. Nothing except a better life. And if you need to know more PM me, I am an “expert patient” and know the score. You know where to find me. Don’t suffer alone. You are a star and deserve to be having a great time and the cure is right there. And as I can testify so is tolerance and understanding if you are the sort of person everyone loves, which you are! D x" I saw this gent last night he got me and the lovely lady mixed up i must admit i found it rather amusing but to the o p he really is a nice man and has had his share of skin problems and is helpful.

"Oatmeal baths work well Theres a cream ive used called Yiganerjing that works well and only have to apply a few times Hope that helps" That cream works but hard to get hold of. Another helpful tip is to exfoliate in the bath then apply child's farm baby moisturising cream. Let it soak in then apply again. Best done before bed to give time to work. Takes away the itchiness and reduces redness.
