Having returned here after a break of around three years I initially found it a little difficult to get noticed again. Reading the forums - especially ladies comments - it became clear a lot of guys don't approach things well.

Having taken into account the things that crop up regularly and while trying to make sure my own personality is reflected in my messages it's noticeable that more messages get read - and as a consequence i'm definitely getting interest from a few fabulous ladies. Might sound obvious to say all of this, but the forums suggest the majority of men still make very little effort and some end up complaining on here as a result. In a way it's great for the guys who do as it's less competition, but can't be great for the girls either.

In a nutshell effort = reward fellas!

Awwwwww - thank you! Glad you approve of the sentiments! Us guys (the mere mortals among us anyway) have to make more effort as we clearly outnumber the ladies - and if we have any intelligence realise you girls get to be as choosy as you like for the most part. Hopefully I wasn't just stating the 'bleedin' obvious', but it actually DOES make a difference. (The majority of messages still go unread for obvious reasons, weight of mail you get etc....), but a bit of genuine, honest endeavour definitely does go a long way.
