I’m seeking experienced dim/sub couple to help me in my Dom training. I’m naturally dominant. But need training both thru observation and participation. Can anyone help. Either with good website and reading but also in person?

Get involved in your local fet scene. If you have a desire to learn there will be plenty willing to help

you need to attend the various munches and events .you have to be seen before any trust can begin .no true sub/Dom will just jump into help .

"'Naturally dominant' what does that even mean?"

It means hes dominant in a natural way. I would stake my life savings on it to be honest.

I never knew that the Dom's who helped me when I first ventured on the scene weren't true Doms...

A lot of people mistake being an aggressive, macho Alpha male as being a 'natural' Dom.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

I class a natural dom as a person who inspires learnership. A person who has natural confidence and who will take charge in a given situation not because they demand it, but because others will naturally look to them for guidance.

Some people are very gifted with this kind of persona

Read "Screw The Roses, Send Me The Thorns"

Don't get bogged down with other people's expectations or definitions but form your own ideas.

Your best to lead your self away from this site for help with this. Not everyone here is very supportive and some with draw big and wild conclusions about you without even knowing you. If you are genuine about discovering and growing there is a lot to be learnt from others. Your best to turn you attention to maybe attending a munch. There is a popular website that is great for help, information and local contacts/events. But I don't think we're allow to mention it by name on FAB. You'll learn a lot more interacting with people in person. The main thing is be yourself and the rest will fall into place, there's no one model or way to be to all of this.

You've had some really good advice about munches and yes, we can't refer you to certain other sites. There's plenty of literature around so you can do some reading.

On a side note, your post prompted a little thought in my head. I've seen a few posts (not just on Fabs) about being trained to be a Dom (or a sub). I wonder if someone should develop a qualification in BDSM and what would go in it?

(puts on glasses) Now, which module are you interested in assessing?

Ropes and knots and puppet creation 101

Working with wood - making flogger handles

Controlling orgasm, the ins and outs of the human body.

Or did you have something specific in mind?

I have plenty of specifics in mind but I'm happy to assess them all. I'm prepared to sacrifice myself to the cause.

I always thought the reason I didn't apply my self in school was due to a lack of intresting and engaging subjects.

There's a lot of Doms who don't have the natural dom in them and have to learn it. Then there are those who are aggressive by nature but not what I'd call natural Alpha. It's more dangerous IMO.

Theres alot of self awareness and control needed. A true Dom/Alpha is naturally very compationate and tender towards their sub.

So if you get two or more Dom's in a room and one takes charge does that mean all the others are no longer real Dom's?

Cap d’Agde, France

We are often asked by couples to guide them in Bdsm.

We always politely refuse.

We do generally keep swing and kink separate.

Swing is for sharing but kink is for ourselves.

That being said, when swinging with experienced sub/Dom kinksters the sex is explosive.

Ps. Men with dominant personalities do not often make good Doms.

Your best bet is join a munch social event chat and speak to like minded kinksters.

Many will offer advice and tips. Be patient and be a sponge as it takes time.

Up on them there hills

A Dom, in my world, is a noun, not a nomination of a verb.

You want training, talk to subs, not Dom’s.

subs are your focus, mirror marketing is your ego.

Use the networks, however, you make your own identity.

Most of all... have fun.

I so missed the vowel mix up, so hope it’s not subliminal.
