I have in the past, but in most cases they let you down again, but one proved genuine and worthwhile so never say never.

I don’t normally, it doesn’t bother me normally, just move along swiftly but this one is sitting with me.

There’s not even any mitigating circumstances, in this case I’m not even sure why I’m thinking about it!

Very true

You just know when to give someone a second chance - ur gut feeling

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

By (user no longer on site)

Generally, no. I have bent this rule on occasion, and then I usually immediately regret it when that second chance is ballsed up too.

Lucky to get a first chance on Fab, lol.

I think it depends on how well you’ve got to know the person up to the point of their cancellation. Most of us have real lives that don’t always go as planned and things like kids, work, health, etc are more important than sex.

Keep some perspective and judge each person on their merits.

I do if they at least gave me reasonable notice and had a viable reason but they need to do the work. So if they cancel, they’ll need to message me and sort an alternative.

Nor the couple who got delayed by an hour and a half a mile away unavoidably (turned out they were watching football on TV..)

Here and There

There's a guy on here that I just felt so attracted to. We'd chat via phone calls and messages. Our calls would last hours and texts all day long. He's had three chances altogether now and although he's apologised profusely each time and I'd love to finally meet him in person I just can't let myself be let down again. He had great verifications etc and didn't seem like a let down but enough is enough and it was starting to make me feel shitty.

No. You can't change people.

If someone you haven't known long messes up. What's the point?

When things are new, it should be fun and exciting. If it isn't move on.

No , if someone lets us down we block them . No ifs or buts , it’s as simple as that .

There can be no excuse not to take a few seconds out to let someone know you won’t be able to make a meet .

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

By *ynecplCouple

Think it depends on the reason given and when we are told. If somebody cancels a meet but tells us in advance and the excuse sounds plausible then we will give them a second chance but if they cancel a second time then that is it.

It's hard to gauge. I had to cancel at the last minute cos my daughter went into premature labour and ended up in Dundee at Ninewells. He mailed me " couldn't meet me but drive to Dundee to meet u bitch. Let me see what kind if person he was so guess I dodged a bullet.

In the other hand a gut cancelled on me with a plausible excuse only to b verified by someone else 2 hours later x

If it’s some one I’ve met and played with several times and they cancel then yes they always get a second and possibly third chance, however, if they cancel the initial social meet or even more so arrange, go quiet and come back on a couple of days later, then they never get a second chance, I put a little note on their profile and then give them what for when they come back a few months later asking for a meet!

I think it depends on circumstance of why a 2nd chance is needed if a person has to cancel for a genuine reason then yes but of course if it's not no but again depends on the person

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I like the idea of second chances in the real world but I haven’t needed to use any on here - everyone can change but do I have the patience to see if it translates to Fab? I would hope so
