I used to get frustrated at reading through a long diatribe of some sexy profile, getting all excited,and in my excitment, gone into overdrive and written a long and often selfishly motivated introduction.

Almost desperately trying to promote my case, my sexy drives to some gorgeous lovely or lovelies, and on hitting that send button get that blinding flash of yellow, at the top of the screen,, its like seeing the police in your rear view mirror,,, your mojo goes into a nose dive, and your gaze moves to whats outside in the garden.

A mature tear wells up in ones eye,... "I'm over, finished, I will have to do as the wife or husbands been saying all along, perhaps they are right"

Looking forward and back, women have the menopause phased in slowly, its a slow natural " nature" process, a kindly one, but when a mature guy hits the wall of rejection, its so sad to realise that perhaps, they, like me, have not really looked in the mirror lately. In these cases the male menopause can be instant, painful, sharp....and many males then flock to the Fabguys site, seeking solace to cuddle up to other cocks in the same situation !

Give not hope up brothers and sisters... were are out there under spare parts... xx

There's a lot of talk around age generally "60 is the new 40 etc. etc." - personally, can't stand getting older. Not got any particular problem it's just that as each year passes it's one year closer to where I don't want to be - and one year further away from where I do want to be - hope that makes sense.

People try and convince you that it's "great" and "never enjoyed myself more" etc. - for me utter bollocks - nowt good about growing old but I reluctantly accept it as nature's path.

A very interesting thread OP...I'm 55 next month, and i do think we all contemplate our own mortality.

But why waste the time...life is for living so enjoy it challenge yourself everyday.

Its is but a number and we all have differnt taste,so as someone else metioned i alway check the age range before sending a message.

My motto is be happy and love who you are, never look back only forwards.

OP in my 20s and 30s I thought I was having good sex,then when I reached my 40s it got better. Now I'm in my 50s I'm enjoying sex more than ever.

Age doesn't matter at all, the only downside for me is that I fall out of a lot of people's search criteria as I refuse to lie about my age. No doubt after my next birthday it will be even worse, but never mind! I continue to go to clubs so that people can see that I really look and act much younger than I am.

However.

I (Mr H) started in this lifestyle over 30 years ago. In that time I have experienced it as a young single guy, as an early forties couple with an Ex in the UK then again as an older single guy.

Mrs H and myself were already in our 50's when we started swinging together and I have to say that the nearly 9 years have been (and still are) by far the best period of all.

To be fair she gets most of the fun but I've also enjoyed every minute of it.

This year we are hoping to carry on, Cap d'Agde is booked, we had a great afternoon/evening in a club last week, and doing it all again tomorrow.
