Is that uterine ablation? I've been offered this and interested in responses if it's the same thing.

Very good girl chum (and fellow fabber) tells me it’s the best thing she ever did. Apparently slightly uncomfortable and inconvenient (bleeding/spotting) for a couple of weeks and then zilch.

How is that better than tied tubes?

I had this done and highly recommend it. Only go to a good consultant. Bleeding up to 6 weeks but not very much. Spotting only for last month. no sex 6 weeks or swimming. No periods now at all....fantastic... Very painful for few hours after but i was shopping the next day for an hour. They recommend 1 week off work. It is not always 100 percent sucessful for everyone and is not something to do unless you need it. Happy to chat privately if you want further details of my op.

Tubes tying doesn’t stop periods, unfortunately!

somewhere in the Shire of Derby

I had it done four years ago and had no problems afterwards. Spotted for a few days and no discomfort.

I was walking about in town the next day. Take it easy for a week but i felt i could have done more than i did. Cannot use tampons after only towels but bleeding is minimal and more watery blood than normal blood.

I was going to have this procedure, the mini touch. Unfortunately I can't have it done because my womb is too thin where my C-section scar is, the microwaves would burn through.

Instead I've had another coil fitted (last one fell out). They put it higher into my womb, but in still having issues.

I can't have a hysterectomy due to being obese.

That might rule me out from having this then, I've had 3 C-sections, looks like its the mini pill for awhile longer for me.
