Bumping into the blocked

Im sure some on here have had situations where they visited a club and chatted quiet amicably to someone, and it turns out you have blocked them,or been blocked by them, before bumping into them in the club, without realising it ?

Did you chat about being on Fab,and maybe look them up on here whilst still in the club and did you continue to converse with them,or bolt for the exit maybe ?

Or were you able to see passed the blocking and become friends

For me it depends why they were blocked.

Generally I only block guys who've wasted my time or sent abusive messages so with that in mind id probably make my excuses and leave.

Ive met one or two on my block list in clubs. I use my notes facility so know why they are blocked. Funnily enough one was extremely abusive on here but was just a y little shite in real life. Funny to point that out to him what he'd said and would he like to say it to my face. Surprisingly no!

I don’t take it personally either way if someone isn’t right at a certain time you can block them and visa versa but walking around with notes on people you’ve blocked really!!!!!!!

The above comment has most likely got a me a block lol

We avoid blocking people for the very reason that our paths may cross at a party or a club. Obviously we block if someone makes a nuisance of themselves, but I don’t think we’d be interested in the nuisance type anyway. I have wondered what would happen if we hit it off in a club with someone who had blocked us. Would we ask them to unblock us before we play?

Whats the problem with tagging notes? Nobody sees them except yourself and they can come in handy if people have been abusive or they have made someone feel unsafe. I've tagged a couple to people who haven't responded to taking no for an answer very well or they've had an attitude. If they don't like being told no on here imagine what they could be like in the real world? Common sense for people to keep safe and be cautious.

What's wrong with using the private notes section?

My block list is huge, I couldn't possibly remember why I'd blocked someone without it.

Some are blocked simply due to age & location. Too young, too close to home.

Others that have sent inappropriate messages, can't take no for answer, been abusive.

I'd like to avoid ever meeting them so bring able to check is pretty important

We've met people we've previously blocked and, if we then discover that we hit it off, we more than happy to unblock.

Lets be honest, you really can't make an informed judgment based simply on the way some people act on here

I do tend to block people who don’t reply to a message it just saves me sending unwanted messages in the future so maybe that’s the reason

the gym and random places

I'm attending a social where there's people I've blocked. I've also attended socials and been in the company of those who've blocked me. I don't allow it to ruin my night.

The people who've blocked me were because I wouldn't meet them and didn't like hearing the word no.

It happens it's life after all.

I smile politely and say hello as I walk past but that's all. There's no conversation. When I've realised I've spoken to someone I've already blocked I have been honest and told them the reason. I've not unblocked them after chatting in q club tho.

I don't have a clue who has blocked me I don't send personal messages I only respond to those who message me and weirdly enough received a forum timeout for supposedly contacting somebody in forums who had blocked me, how ironic first because I didn't know who person was and secondly didn't know I had received the timeout until after it had expired ,how odd this place can be sometimes

On a blocked profile there are 3 buttons that still work - block, report and private notes.

It helps as a couple for ensuring that if one or other of us considers reversing a block for whatever reason, to know the opinion of the other person and not do it...

We have had this a few times.

It takes a lot for us to block someone and each block is for good reason.

If we met in a club and got on well, we wouldn’t unblock.

People can be very different online to how they are in real life

I get blocked for my outspoken views on here. I never treat anything on here personal and would never let it stop me chatting to someone. I am pretty sure thete are many who would rather spit on me than speak to me though.
