Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some help and advice regarding getting a conversation started.

I find a lot of profiles of women and couples in my area say a very limited amount about them and what they are looking for.

I always read their profile, but most are very short. Im not sure if I should just send a message telling people about me and what I want?

What do you think, do you have any tips on getting a conversation going.

Can't speak for others but we use the site to stay in touch with those we've met and to arrange future meets for conversation and fun.

We've no interest in getting into conversation on here, this rules out engaging at length with fakes etc.

Also we can rarely both be involved at the same time, whereas when we're out we can.

As stated on lots of help threads the ratios would mean there will be a significant number of others who use the site in a similar way and therefore reducing your available demographic further.

Try going to a club or social and try getting conversation started there.

I see your point regarding both not being able to be involved in a conversation together etc.

Also your choice in how you use the site.

It’s hard being a single man going to clubs etc. I would love to try but with someone else. Plus there isn’t any in my area.

Why should woman/couples have to have long informative profiles if you havent got one!!

Its ok to compose the message by telling them what your looking for, but make sure you consider asking what they like/enjoy. Dont make it all about you. Having said that, most people will look at a profile before opening a messsge. If the profile is dull, then they probably wont answer.

We always say read the target profile three times and then write to that profile. Never be generic in your message and be supportable in what you say.

Thanks you everyone.

I will take it on board. I don’t disagree with poppy. I have had several attempts at my own profile.

I always read the profiles and try to relate the massage and complement what I like etc.
