Cleaning toys

So I have a couple of glass toys, a steel one and one of those jelly type ones. What is the best hygienic way to clean them?

Is soap and water OK?

I use anti bacterial hand wash and rinse thoroughly. I've tried cleaning sprays but they often irritated me.
