Has anyone else had one of these? If so, did you bleed for long after it and how long did you wait for your results?

Obviously I haven't had that done, but I have had endoscopy at both ends at different times and all I felt was a little discomfort but no real pain. I actually surprised the surgeon because I know how to relax and they actually checked to see if I was asleep during both procedures. It is like anything , if you convince yourself it will hurt, then it will. Learn to meditate and relaxation techniques and breeze through it.

I had it done on Monday, it wasn't the most pleasant thing, I'm just curious about how others got on.

Had 1 done about 2 yrs ago.

Pain lasted probably 2 weeks, bleeding about the same.

Results came within 6 weeks.

It wasnt pleasant, but needed to be done.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had no pain apart from a bit of cramping straight after and an odd spot of blood for a couple of days.

Bleed for about a week, some pain like cramping. Results took about 1 week but were fast tracked due to having had cancer before.

I had cramps straight after it & bled a little for a couple of days. Felt tender the side it was taken. I didn't get the results, it was done pre hysterectomy to check along with cells taken. I then had hysterectomy 4 weeks later, that was 3 weeks ago - Fi xx

Yeah, mine is to check my uterus has no cancer before I have a hysterectomy. How are you recovering from the hysterectomy?

I don't know yet, Ive been begging for one for years and they finally said yes, just waiting on the biopsy results then we will discuss the hysterectomy properly.

It's good that you're recovering so well, Ive heard loads of horror stories.

I can't even get my doctor to agree to a hysterectomy been told my weight is to high. So stuck with constant pain and gyne issues till my weight is in a healthy bmi. My gp is pushing for them to change their minds but been trying since I was in my twenties.

Hoping recent issues will force their hand. Think its a postcode lottery to if you get offered one.

My periods are very heavy and almost constant if I don't have medication to stop them. I'm on 10 tablets a day at the moment and I still get some spotting. They suspect I have adenomyosis but they can't confirm that until I have the hysterectomy.

Ive been begging for years for it but they wouldn't do it previously because I only have one child and they think I'm too young.

C'est moi Boudoir

Had the biopsy prior to hysterectomy. Was put under though as they were removing a cervical growth also. Had surgical hysterectomy and was up, showered and having a cigarette by lunch time the following day much to their disgust. I was sore and tired for about 2 weeks but pretty much back to normal after that. I had periods for three years after as I kept my ovaries and cervix due to my age at the time (34) but they eased off by time I was 37 and was supposed to hit the menopause but still

Oh nice, I'm feeling alot more confident about my decision now. I'd heard mostly bad things about hysterectomys but it's something I desperately want.

I had a hysterectomy (abdominal) at your age. I'm 54 now. I had the same symptoms as you. Yes it's a serious surgery and takes a while to recover from, but yes absolutely it was worth it. I haven't regretted it for a moment. X

Same - I was on mini pill 2 x tabs per day but smudged lucky to get few days clear. Had to hit transxemics 9 x per day end of week to stand a chance of fun at weekends. Previously tried mirena coil but not strong enough. As mine were heavy bleeds & biopsy obv clear I was able to keep cervix & ovaries - seeing consultant next Wed so will be asking that he checked these also during op as camera goes thru belly button with laproscopic xx

I've been having really bad periods since I was 12. Have endometriosis and in agony every day. Had to have 3/4 of my cervix removed due to pre cancerous cells .. Have more than enough kids but nope... Still won't agree it. I'm being told they can't keep giving me the pill on top of my implant but without the other pills.. I bleed on and off every other day.

Yeah, it's crap, I'm on the pill, norethisterone and tranexamic acid, I've also got a supply of mefenamic acid in case I bleed through those.

Keep pushing for it, that's what I've had to do, just keep going back and telling them that's what you want, don't give them the option of saying no.

"How do you manage this lifestyle with bleeding?"

I don't play often, although I'm not bleeding now because of the piles of medication I'm on, I'm scared it will start mid shag.
