Help for club nervous newbies

Stoke area

I am considering arranging a little pub gathering to chat to people interested in going to a club, but worried about going in alone.

I would meet 6 to 8 people.. .gents, ladies or couples who have never been to a club and are keen to try. I would chat about the local club, answer any queries and then anybody who wants to go, we will go in together as a little group.

This means there will be a few people there you have already met.

Should have mentioned this is in Stoke on Trent. ( between junction 15 and 16 of M6 )

Thinking of a Friday in early Feb. I keep reading about people who wanted to go to a club, but are nervous....so hope this might help.

Maybe this is something other clubs already offer? . I would love to hear if it is.

Thoughts ?

We would have *loved* this when we started! Lizzy you rock

We were really nervous, and it took a couple of prompts from some lovely people to go. ( Our first club was Atlantis in Stoke, and we needn't have been worried, we got such a lovely welcome! )

We had all those questions - what do you wear, do you have to strip down, do you have to play, will you be surrounded by people right away. Having those answered in person really helped us, and knowing some other people to look out for at the club helped too!

What a lovely idea!! We have the Wednesday newbie nights at Townhouse but people still need to brave the initial step through the door, which is the hardest part IMO.

That's such a nice thing to do Lizzy! xx

Good luck Lizzy, having met you I know you can be very easy to speak with, and anyone that takes you up on your offer will be glad they did

Great idea Lizzy, our midweek event at Liberty Elite is ideal for those new to the club scene it’s busy enough to have a great night but quiet enough for it not to be intimidating.

Surprised this post has been resurrected. It was very poorly attended, but the club now has special newbie nights every two or three months, so lots of new people come along to those.

Sometimes I think newbies coming along on a regular night can be easier, as they can chat to regulars and myself, rather than me trying to keep an eye on 12 new people

Would it be a good idea for newbies to contact you in advance Lizzy, so you had an idea of who might be turning up, and when?

They can do. But I don't run the club. I am just a regular who enjoys meeting new people and nurturing the anxious folks. So contacting Cat , the owner of the club would be a better option
