Having read a previous thread on a guy getting heavy handed...

Im curious as to the steps ladies take to feel safe. for instance .. you book a hotel and arrange to meet a guy .. you have spoken online seen them on cam.. Do you feel safe ? my feeling is that you could be robbed raped attacked.. do you get feelings that things arent right ? leave a message with someone so they know where you are and who with. I just wonder whether you wake up in morning to find all your cards bag camera laptop and car keys are gone. Just asking peoples feelings on this and has anything bad happened. ..maybe im being dramatic but I imagine it could happen.

I always make sure I leave a message with 2 people. With all the details I know about the person I am meeting. If I have booked a hotel, then I get a spare key card, and leave it at reception with my housemates name on it, saying he will be turning up later, but I'm going to sleep.

I always text my 2 chosen people at least twice during the "visit". My text reads "small cock, having a crap time." Every time. The thought being, if someone is holding me against my will, they will be monitoring what I type, and will make sure I send a positive message. If my friends receive a positive message, they know something is wrong, and to rescue me.

Thankfully it has never happened yet.

I dont stop over night with a stranger in a hotel, I leave most my vaulables in my car and dont tell anyone what I drive. Someone always knows where I am, the profiles details, etc.

I also do check ins, private code type and my phone has 'locate me' on it and I stay relitively local to me or other friends so I can be rescued, if needed.

If I am unsure I give them the 'option' to meet me at a club and I wont go on my own that night.

I have had coffee meets first and find mcdonalds is usually good for them, again I get there early, park up and meet in the resturant.

I am very lucky that I am not going to clubs on my own now so have someone very trusted watching my back and my interests :D

i don't meet unless i am guaranteed police outriders and a bullet proof limousine (for distance meets, i insist on air force 1).

all playmates must agree to be CRB checked and frisked by members of my entourage on arrival.

failing that, i take biscuits - you can talk most people down with a fox's selection pack !

I've got a brilliant gag, but it's an important topic, so I'll say this.

The advice given by the girls above all seems to make sense.

I would advise any girl to always make sure she has an 'out' from a meet, whether that be a phone call from a friend, a time limit that she will be away, or whatever.

And single fems especially should always let someone know where they are going to be, for how long and with whom. Even telling reception in the hotel isn't a bad idea.

Also, make sure that your meet knows that someone knows where you are and that you are with them - guaranteed to deter would be heat of the moment Rambos.

99.9999999% of the time all will be fine. On the odd occasion when it isn't it is highly unlikely you'll need more than a polite, but firm 'fuck off' to do the trick.

('fuck off' can be literal, metaphorical, or both - context and timing are up to you)

I meet at my house. First meets are always just a social.. I have to check in regular with my master..

Actual meets my master is watching on cam or there in person...

I don't meet in hotels... And I don't really travel.

But my biggest safety net is that at all times I'm in contact with my master.

like cali i meet at home where possible, but Sir gave me a good tip to add to the great ones given.

Ask the guy to pay for the room with a card ,giving him your half in cash...if he wont leave a paper trail...its a pretty big red flag.

My closest friend knows where I am at all times and when to expect a text. As for at home, I have the added benefit of two large dogs.... whilst they're very friendly generally, I wouldn't't want to chance them having a bad reaction to someone if I was ever in trouble- no meet has ever been daft enough to try anything even as a test with a rottweiler in the house

I do not entertain at home, and have managed to book a cheap room at nearby Travelodges once a month for 2011 at the end of last year.

I do not normally meet a potential new playmate without vetting them through and through first.

This normally includes meeting up for a drink and/or a meal in a public place first, to see if I have a good gut feel about the person.

I can usually form an opinion about a person within minutes of meeting them. If my gut feel and instincts tell me to walk away then I will.

I do not take anything expensive with me so that I do not have to worry about loosing them.

I guess I am good at taking precautions as I have been living on my own for so long, including a few years in London.

i think this is a very good point,which any new single fems reading this and getting worried should remember.

We take responsibility for a safety in daily life,the skills i learnt living in London,backpacking,going to pubs and clubs, stay with me when swinging.

It is not as if sswinging is high risk,or that we dont have good ideas of how to keep ourselves safe

All the advice given is first rate and should be noted, I think i have another bit that might help, check the guys verifications and ask if you can mail some of them to make sure he is for real, I asked this once last year and the guy said no, so obviously that meant he had something to hide, be safe, in as many ways as you can, hugz n stuff, Ruby, xxx

Some good advice, and it applies to men too really, for example you never know if there is a jealous boyfriend out there.

Only time I ever got close to problems was about 1am in Amsterdam, a local trying to sell little bags of white powder on street, said no politely, then he tailed got more insistant, so asked him if he'd seen what was over there, at which point he follows finger to look directly at CCTV camera. I walk off turn corner and take a seat in closest hotel lobby to see if he was following.

At clubs it is not uncommon for partner to 'police' the guys and make sure condom is on particularly when doing mmmmf

Verifications from total strangers about another stranger means bugger all to me so it would be pointless and inappropriate for me.

I always meet socially first. As I've said in the past I always meet during my lunch hour outside Marks, where I get my sarnie, so should he not turn up, no skin of my nose, if 5.15 at the station. My train home is 5.30 so again, if a no show not a problem.

Sometimes it takes several social meets for my would be playmates to feel comfortable with me. The assumption is women are vulnerable but so are men. I play rough and I'm not a small woman. I think it advisable playmates tell where they're going. I'm using hot wax, razors on their gonads, restraining them before lubing their arses for my toys!

You don't let just anyone do that to you...unless you're nuts! I never meet in hotels either...just not for me.

Its alot about commonsense in any situation.

Tell someone where you are going - even if you just say 'out for a coffee at Costa'.

Tell them when you are going.

Tell them how long you are going

Text them when you go to the loo to let them know you are safe.

Have a saved message in your phone that is set to go to your friend that is a panic message, that you can send quickly.

If your plans change DO let your friend know.
