Timewasters

Why are time wasters still allowed on this site? We’ve had numerous timewasters know even people who have been verified by other people!! We traveled two hours for a meet the other night, for a couple spoke to the woman so thought they where legit to have a wasted trip and there still allowed on here!!

I've never really encountered any, I guess I've been lucky. It seems to be the nature of the beast on here unfortunately. I'm guessing they didn't turn up or contact you to cancel? All you can do is report them.

Sorry to hear that, its crap but what is the full story here ? Did they give you an address, were you meeting in a hotel ? I know its no consolation but there's no way I'd travel 2 hours for a meet unless it was a regular person I knew well.

Maybe they could see you from afar a decided against it. Rather cowardly thing to do but I know it happens. Never met a timewaster on here either. Must be lucky I guess but I do have a vetting procedure

We’ve had so many timewasters in the town we live in where so we thought we’d try somewhere else as we weren’t having any luck in meets here.

We arrived at the address we where given to be told they had arranged a meet with someone else instead... sorry but to me that’s bang out of order when they knew we had traveled so far I wouldn’t dream of doing that to someone.

2009 when i started meeting singles and not as a couple, i was a tad naive and had one no-show but soon i clued up and make it my terms and my rules to make sue they arent idiots and just looking for a wank on here and no intention of meeting

since then

0 no shows

If you like clubs, I think you should perhaps stick to meeting couples there in future.

You sound as if you did all the right things with vetting!! I hope you reported them!

In all honesty if your are repeatedly meeting timewasters them you possibly need to look at what you could be doing differently

I guess its a case of one persons word against another. Fab cannot police what happens off of here but I'd like to think if they get reported a few times by others for the same, admin would take action.

Yes that's bang out of order but a 4 hour round trip for someone you've never met? Not something I'd even consider unless I had another reason to be there. And while that one is shit the OP has infered that they are repeatedly encountering timewasters, they don't make it sound like it was a one off

I totally agree, there's no way I'd travel that far. In fact, I only stick local to wherever I am and meet socially in a coffee shop where I'd be anyway so no great hassle if they no show. It works well for me, only had one no show in 7 years. I guess its about finding what works for you and sticking to it.

Nothing works for us that’s the point we arrange a meet in Blackpool where we meet and either someone isn’t interested or they don’t show up... we arrange a meet somewhere outside of our area due to the amount of timewasters in Blackpool and we still get timewasters so exactly how else are we suppose to avoid them

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
