What makes you feel a profile is a catfish guys?

For me it's being on the site more than 6months or more with only 1 verification or none at all. No recent photos. And people asking for videos.

A catfish is more someone who posts photos that are not of themselves and who pretend to be someone they are not, at least that's what I always thought lol.

I think of a Catfish as someone who purposefully sets out to deceive, trick and lie to people. For whatever reason.

The criteria in the OP wouldn't make me think catfish

If you live in one of the big cities and click on local updates, you will see tons of generically attractive young women who have just joined and looking for "no limits fun" - these are fairly obvious.

None of that says catfish to me, I'd say someone who is using fake pictures and pretending to be someone they're not when talking to people. There's a big difference between someone who isn't using the site actively for meets and a catfish.

Not to mention that their webcam always has a problem so never works when you would like to cam chat. Or their mobile phone doesn't take photos, and set a meet only to cancel or come up with a lame excuse as to why they didn't turn up.

I'd just like to confirm I'm not a catfish, a few have seen me on webcam over the time I've been here.

I have no meet verifications because I've had no meets off of here, mainly due to my dairy not aligning with the few people who have expressed an interest.

This has likely been said already, but a catfish is someone who's using fake pictures, pretending to be that person in order to dupe others into conversation or sending pics. I watch the show so I'm an expert

You Dont Need to Know, right now

"Catfish" is just a label. Don't get hung up on labels, cus you'll find as many definitions as there are people. Just concentrate on not being duped (in any way that you feel uncomfortable with) by careful use of the tools that the site gives you.

Rubbish. There are loads of extremely well verified guys who are polite and genuine. Though ‘polite’ and ‘genuine’ only really work in combination with other attributes.

I guess that means we used to be catfish. We had a good 6 months with no meets, no veris, no photos at all. We didn’t ask for videos though. Not catfish any more though

Someone who develops a longer term relationship with somebody but isn't who they claim to be. Will deny attempts to meet or cam live, so that they can verify their identity.

Make your own firm rules on what's acceptable from others and walk away if you am not satisfied.

Oh I'm not saying i should get meets on those two virtues alone. I do have self confidence issues with my looks but I'm regularly told I'm attractive. I think the biggest problems I have is my profile and that in west Yorkshire young and hung is a very common prerequisite and I'm not either

People who catfish tend to use fake pictures to lure their prey in too. Fake profiles and Catfishing are not always exactly the same. People who catfish usually take on a completely different persona. They have a seperate identity so to speak. I think, not having a meet within six months of joining here, does not guarantee that the profile is fake... Even more so, if it's a male profile. Some can go a very long time without a meet, or may not even get one at all

We think the term catfish is too generous and mabe glorifies the culprits. We just call them fake as fake is what they are, easy to spot once you've been here a while.
