You risk catching all manner of infection and disease just so they can rub there thing against your inner lining...

Result

Best case scenario you spend the next few months doing tests panicking and thinking why the f!@# did I do it...

Worst case scenario

Your shopping for head stones...

Tell them to go have a wank and don't bother with them again!!!

After a few unpleasant encounters as a young man ending up with me suffering the dreaded pogo stick down the Japs eye it is now firmly ingrained into my subconscious

It's just not worth it.

Yup...there's a super gonorrhoea bacteria now. Nurtured by bacteria from the back of the throat.

Bagging up is no guarantee of protection an infection. It just reduces the risk. Condoms are not the be all and end all 100% guarantee of a dose free sex life.

If was someone I was meeting, they could beg & plead all they wanted, never going to happen.

Only something I'd consider with someone I'd already established a relationship with, knew very well, totaly trusted & was positive (both of us) checked & clean.

A certificate means jack shit. The genital wart virus can stay dormant in the skin for years before symptoms, ie warts..

and you can't test for them at an sti clinic. Visual examination only.

No, we had someone tell us that when he orgasmed he ejaculated backwards into his bladder and he'd wee it out later, therefore didn't need condoms needless to say we didn't meet. I'm no medical expert so don't know if the first bit was true or not but we wouldn't meet people who start talking bareback as we assume they'll just raise the subject again when you meet.

Not really. Dogs lick their balls because they can, and don't care who's watching. Starting a thread about your choices, on a controversial topic? That's attention seeking.

To each their own I suppose.

personally i wouldn't play with strangers bareback, id have to have established a long term exclusive relationship and everyone been tested. (in twelve years i've only got to that stage once with swinging and only three times with long term subs who were not swingers)

Testings Not foolproof by any means but as safe as you can be, obviously the HPV virus is a bit of a wildcard.

Nothing in life is 100% risk free, we just all have different levels we consider acceptable.

People are adults. Life is about choices .

Some Bareback some don't

Some drink and drive some don't

Some take class a drugs some don't

Some smoke 20/40 fags a day some don't

Some drive to fast some don't

Some people live in bubble wrap some don't.

.......

People live by their own choices of what is deemed safe for them or not.

A lot do overdramatise the safe Sex thing though lol

Usually from a serial smoker too

Each to their own and live how you feel

Not a chance!

I see no reason why people cant play protected. The 'pleasure' is a minimal different in the bigger picture of the whole night.

I think that bareback is something for a long-term partner, and personally I believe that it kinda makes it more special.

Call me old fashioned, but maybe the old 'no sex before marriage' should now be 'no bb before serious relationship'?

IF someone pleaded/insisted and I wasn't comfortable - NO

IF I had gotten to know the person well and got a good vibe and he pleaded/insisted - NO

IF I had gotten to know the person well and got a good vibe and he otherwise behaved normally, didn't plead/insist - YES, I like bareback

People who insist raise red flags. I'm not talking about expressing a preference, I'm talking about you not being willing and he still insisted.

Up on them there hills

Been thinking about this after an accusation.

I have a wife and family, I will not enter into a bare D/s relationship unless there has been tests, there is trust and a a total openness about each parties other sexual contacts, so there is choice, for everyone involved.

Honestly and openness is a reciprocal thing.

I’ll stick with my values, they have kept me and my family safe, while still having fun.

Experience comes from open minded consensual trust.

Some have it, others, well.

Looking forward to a stunning new year.

Bearback? Is that because they're bipolar? (this is a bear joke, by the way, don't take offence...)

No way on God's Earth!

Someone with half a dozen STI's isn't going to say "I have herpes, ghonorea, HIV... Would you mind if I had unprotected sex with you?" are they?

"No, we had someone tell us that when he orgasmed he ejaculated backwards into his bladder and he'd wee it out later, therefore didn't need condoms "

There is an unusual medical condition called retrograde ejaculation, but some STI risk is carried simply in the skin and tissues, so condoms would always be desirable.

He claimed it was due to cancer when he was younger but he still fathered two children afterwards. He could have been telling the truth but it set alarm bells ringing.

So how far do you go ?

When people say on their profile "safe sex only" most would assume that they mean that for full sex - condoms are a must .

But do they mean for everything and if so are there any people here that use condoms or dams for oral or is that classed as a step too far ?

As long as everyone knows condoms don't stop all stds then that's even better. Nor, might I add does a clear blood test mean you are actually clean. Working in a clinic is a massive eye opener and I can tell you that it's frightening how many sexually active adults are clueless about the ins and outs of most stds, excuse the pun.

"No, we had someone tell us that when he orgasmed he ejaculated backwards into his bladder and he'd wee it out later, therefore didn't need condoms needless to say we didn't meet. I'm no medical expert so don't know if the first bit was true or not but we wouldn't meet people who start talking bareback as we assume they'll just raise the subject again when you meet.

Ginger "

Retrograde ejaculation. It is a genuine condition and can be caused by several things. But it's quite common in long term diabetics.

Not for me. I'll also occasionally use condoms for men, orally (though not always). I don't use dental dams.

The risks for oral are lower, I just make sure I get tested fully every 6-8 weeks, but I rarely play these days.

That would be like saying if a guy says he’ll pull out he doesn’t need condoms. Utter tosh. Wrap it up!

Death from cancer... 1 in 5. If you smoke why bother to wear a condom?

I take it that you are unaware that smokers don't necessarily get cancer and that cancer occurs for a multitude of reasons?

Nita"

Very true Nita! On the other hand not everyone catches AIDS from unprotected sex.

Furthermore, on average, 120,000 die each year in Britain from smoking related diseases. In the latest figures (2015) deaths from AIDS related illnesses were 594. More people have sex than smoke so, bareback or a cigarette???

I'll carry on being a non-smoker who enjoys bareback but looks carefully before crossing the road. I'll also carry on not judging others for their choices unless it affects me.

Given that the only safe sex is no sex

Then the answer is every single person in here takes a risk for the pleasure of their sex life

The only variation is where in the sand that line is drawn for that individual not whether that the risk exists or not
