Rejection is never nice.

I try to be honest and nice when telling someone I am not interested.

This isn't a dating site.Trying to bribe me with dinner etc won't work.

It's a swinging site.No means no. Don't ask why. Why do you like someone or find someone attractive.

Awk I give up ... can they add a part on the forum rules about rejection??

this site is different things for different people,some find it a more honest environment to find a life partner ,some just come for a chat ,some come for NSA and some come for sex but to like and socialise with the people they meet,everyone eats sometimes its nice to eat with company

We use to reply saying no thanks. But people would never leave it at that now we just delete message if they send a second we block them. Saves so much drama.

We’ve had knock backs (plenty too) it’s part of life.

If a person/s says they are not interested in us, that’s there choice we leave it at that.

However we tend to block people who send randomness to our inbox or who send us a message we are not interested in.

Some may say it’s rude to block them but we disagree. If I walked up to you in the street and started chatting to you, you said that you’re not interested would it then be ok for me to follow you down the street asking you why? No it wouldn’t.

In our opinion op block anyone you’re not happy with!

If I ever get rejected or given a ‘sorry you are not my type’ I simply thank them for replying, wish them luck in their search and bid them happy adventures. End of. Cannot see the point of harassing people.

I get why the OP isn't comfortable blocking guys who have done no harm but she also needs to think of herself and deter any possible pests. My solution would be a c&p reply "thank you for your message however I'm not interested at this time. Don't take it personally but I'm blocking you just so you don't need to remember you've already contacted me. Good luck on Fab, I genuinely wish you the best."

Send the reply and block them. You know you've replied politely and given a non hurtful reason for the blocking but also you don't have to worry about the occasional arsehole revenge message

And it has done on a few occasions, they have had another look. A couple of ladies who said no, are now friends and we chat. 1 we ended up meeting.

If they're persistent, pretend to give in, agree to meet, so they deserve to spend an hour or so in a pub waiting for your no show. Just treat people the way they treat you, if they don't like it, they need to change, then hit the block button.

Actually as a single guy who isn’t getting much response from anyone, I’d rather a lady hit the block button (even if it is unread) I live on an island and I’m trying to fathom out who iv contacted and whom I haven’t.

I must click on some profiles too many times (limited fab users here) and I must look like a proper stalker or something.

At least If I’m blocked I can save myself that embarrassment- tho I don’t think I have many more I can actually try an contact anyway!

It's ok to ask why, and it's ok to reply "you just don't do it for me", but I'd hazard a guess many men seek feedback to develop and improve their profile (as well as the ones who just wont give up!

Although asking why seven times is for workplace investigations, not badgering someone who has said no.

Admin are reluctant to release details of how they keep site standards high, partly as it stops inappropriate abusive people getting around the rules, systems and processes. This is in addition to not revealing their response to any report that users make. More data is better, helping them to refine their judgment. If in doubt, report with appropriate details.
