What are the professions that require more discretion than other professions on a Swingers' site?

Inspired by this thread https://www.fabswingers.com/forum/support/707149

Who would, potentially, undermine their own work position if they waived their right to (presumed) online anonymity and were recognized by clients, customers, parents, or members of the public in real life? (UK and RoI only!)

Just a light-hearted thought experiment. I'll start:

Magistrates,

Police officers,

School teachers,

Politicians,

University lecturers,

Conversely, which professions would, perhaps, not compromise their own work position?

Again, just light-hearted and a though experiment:

Train drivers,

admin staff,

accountants,

letting agents,

geologists,

employed plumbers, builders, joiners, etc. (as opposed to tradesmen who represent their own company),

retail staff (shop floor or administrative side),

gardeners,

catering staff,

courrier drivers,

lorry drivers,

Who else?

If you have a contract which states that you can be sacked for "bringing the company into disrepute", then you could theoretically be sacked for swinging, although its unlikely, unless you posted pics of yourself in some form of clothing, vehicle or location which identified the company.

Anything involving working with children, or any job where you have access to cash or classified info would be at risk, due to the chances of you being bl@ckmailed.

My contract basically doesn’t want anyone of us online but recognises things such as social media (I suppose a swingers site counts as social) as day to Day life. So it has the bringing the company into disrepute part in it. However have seen people sacked in my place for what would be generally a minor infraction.... but because it got online then people associated them with the company..... oot the door.

I'm always amazed at the amount of soldiers (and officers) that message with their rank, unit, and occasionally name easily identifiable.

Since I live near a load of military units, I've come up with a scoring system of points based on rank... a Colonel visiting the area is the best so far...

Lawyer and doctor here.

It's an interesting issue as whether being a swinger per se would see you lose your job. I tend to think not as long as you are discreet about it and don't involve your employer in any way. If you were outed involuntarily say, I think an automatic sacking just for being a swinger would be deemed unfair.

The only exceptions I can think of would be jobs where being hetero normative is part of the job, like a vicar say.

Hi

It's an interesting subject but as long as you are not putting your profession into disrepute then I can't see a huge issue. However as swinging isn't perhaps understood by most a level of discretion is required.

As long as it's legal and consensual and fun then why not? As a guess I would think most of us speed (even for a short time) which is far worse as you could take someone's life.

From our perspective it is more on how other individuals in the Vanilla world will judge us so we are careful with our privacy. We also feel we lead this lifestyle as a way of escapism so why should anyone else know (that's why we swing)!

I would imagine that every profession is on here and probably some in high up places!!

I would have loved to have used the local sports centre when they had private naturist sessions. Biggest problem was that my then works depot was literally across the car park from the sports centre which itself was within the grounds of a comprehensive school. So it doesn`t take a lot for some savvy pupil from the school to find out why the sports centre was closed to the public then spot me going into or coming out of the sports centre and split on the school groundsman going into "one of those pervy nudey sessions" and it getting blown out of all proportion!

These days, wouldn't an organisation be frightened of being dragged through every ridicule and humiliation if they tried to claim peoples' fairly-well partitioned-off entirely reasonable personal lives become their remit to evaluate? The gay community managed to come from being "marginal" to "a minority" when it stood proudly and declined to be negatively portrayed.

If you don't name an organisation or imply any relation or opinion on your personal life, don't they leave well alone?

As seems to be the case in practice now.

I've heard of a very embarrassed young man being sent to have a quiet staff-welfare interview with a mature experienced lady who is a near-celebrity swinger. Sounds like the Company's way of helping its your staff develop their skills and experience.

I ran a business which was in the public eye and if I was noticed on fab or as a swinger then I would have lost some government body contracts and if it had happened I would have had to let go at least 45 of my workers, so ultimately they kept their jobs due to me being discreet.

Sold the business now so feck it, I don't mind being seen so here is my face pic...

I work for the NHS. Surprisingly a lot of coworker sex happens at our (and I suspect other) hospitals and a lot of people know about flings that are happening around them. That doesn't get anyone in trouble but being on a swinger site with your face on display is likely to get you on managers' "fire him/her" list meaning you'd be a target. So I would suggest keeping face pics private.

There is Fabster not too far from me who is a Civil Servant. She said in a thread some years ago that as she handled money she was required to tell her HR dept that she was a swinger. She said that they took a note of it, yawned and filed it away. A non event.

When I ran a business, well before we became swingers, I had at least one person working for me who was in the lifestyle. It was totally irrelevant to his work and any attempt to draw attention to it by a manager and prejudice his career would have the manager in trouble.

It's his choice to post what pictures he wants to. Surely he shouldn't have to run his profile to suit others?

As for those who stop talking to you because of your profession, that speaks volumes about them as a person. We are assuming (rightly or wrongly) that the majority don't fully understand what being a gamekeeper/farmer actually entails.

We were going to say the word 'townies' but think we might get lynched
