"In a few weeks, we are hosting a small (10-15 people) party in our home. I've hosting tons of 'regular' parties in my life, but this is our first swinger's party! If anyone has any advice on do's and don't for the party itself I would appreciate it. Further, please share if you have ideas on how to ensure I get the number to turn up that I want, as well! Thanks. " Get waterproof sheets or throws otherwise you’ll end up with gush on the carpet and spunk over the sofa

"Great advice, all! Really helpful. Keep it coming! Thanks very much. Here's a follow up: we have an open plan living space which is where we want everything to take place (and, we'll create a couple areas with futons and blow up beds, etc), but we did not intend to have people upstairs in our bedrooms except for changing and leaving their stuff, just everyone together on the one floor. Does that seem ok? Also asking people to bring a bottle. Is that ok? We'll do the food and of course have some booze and nonalcholic drinks, too. " Guys Some very good advice all round. Bring a bottle there own choice of drink is fine to ask, Some light background music.remember it's your home and you make the rules. Shame we're not in London area. Enjoy

" If its all taking place in one open area and you're inviting 10-15 people it will be worth mentioning that to guests. Sometimes all being in the same space makes people feel pressured to play (I'm one of those people ) and it'll give them a chance to decline your invitation. It's your home, your rules and I wouldn't want people upstairs in my home either . We've always taken drinks and host and hostess gift (chocolates, flowers etc) anyway to any party we've attended but would be more than happy if the hosts asked us to bring something. Good luck, hope it all goes well.

"All of the above. There will be a small group that we've played with before. Plus a few couples only we know, but they don't know each other. And, I've invited a few that I've been chatting with for awhile but we've yet to get together. " Sounds like you’re going to have a great time X

"Invite twice as many single men as you want there...they have a tendency of not turning up unfortunately Really they don’t turn up ? " Sadly many people of Fab tend to have a reputation in general for not being reliable. A recent organised social had 200 on the list. Only 100 turned up. That’s pretty flakey I think.

Lets be honest here, its guys. They moan about not being able to get meets, and then put their names down for socials, parties and other events, where they would as a minimum gather a few veries, and even maybe have a little fun... and then don't turn up. And its not just a few, its a massive amount, some socials have had as much as a 90% no-show rate from single guys. And then they wonder why they get a bad press!

The south Wales socials cost a pound or two for entry, and we have been to more than 20 parties around here and have never paid, and nor has anyone else who has attended... including single guys. I think you need to realise the difference between a genuine party run by swingers, for swingers... and a "party" run by a pimp with hookers, charging single guys for sex.... big difference.
