Why am I doing right?

Genuine question, but it might help those that keep asking why they are failing?

I genuinely do not know the answer why I succeed yet so many fail. I'm so many things that fab dislikes.

I'm a single male that can't accommodate.

I'm straight. Straight not fab straight.

I'm not 'hot'.

I'm not 'gym fit'.

My photos are crap.

I don't go to clubs.

I've never been to an organised social.

Yet I think I do very well for myself, but I see all these guys in the forums complaining they can't get a meet. So why me? It's even made me start to overthink.

As I said a genuine question.

Maybe it’s because your veris are spread over 3 years and half from the same couple.

Not sure being on here for nearly 4 years may be why tho? Generally i see people complaining only after a short time on here.

Yes that's true, but I have verifications prior to those, just from people who have left the site and as we know, those don't show.

Perhaps the summary gives a better indication.

This isn't a shameless "look at me" thread op?

In fairness, it's always good to see when a single guy has some success here, regardless if it's with many different people or a select few.

I can't complain myself as to my success on fab, so a toast to all single men who get what they want from fab, whatever that might be

No it's not a shameless look at me thread, although I thought many would think that.

I don't need people, especially from miles away 'to look at me'. Which is really the point.

As I said I really don't know why. I have often felt I am 'punching above my weight'.

I also thought it might answer some of the questions about profiles etc that are posted. If it helps others.

Absolutely. I've found through fab that though looks are important, personality will in the end carry you further. If you have both, no reason you shouldn't have some success, unless you're a complete knob

I was just doing a breakdown When you get down to the people you have met in the time frame then you aren’t doing that well really. But at least it shows you aren’t looking to meet anyone and everyone and just a select few

Well for a 52 year old, 'normal' male who doesn't attend party's, clubs or organised socials I think I've done ok.

It probably helps that you have made an effort with your profile text and have a variety of photos, including face pics. Plus you’re active on the forums. I would imagine you message people you’re interested in so in that respect you’re pro-active.

Perhaps being an average man and not ‘gym fit’ has actually been of benefit to your ‘success’, I don’t wish to sound disrespectful but perhaps the male half of a couple wouldn’t feel threatened by you. And maybe you’re selecting couples/women who the ‘hot’ or ‘gym fit’ people have chose not to meet. That may sound a tad harsh but as another non-hot, non-gym-fit person it isn’t intended that way.

Keep it up .. in all senses

No not harsh at all. I do tend to avoid those profiles that are stating that is what they are looking for. You are probably very correct in what you say.

It's nice to see a positive single guy thread for a change.

I know several single guys who do really well on Fab.

The reason I think they do so well is because they take there time to socialise and meet ladies and couples.

I'm hardly a Brad Pitt lookalike and snapping my fingers tends only to work for my four legged friends.

Best advice I could give is make them laugh and make them feel wanted and above all don't take it too seriously...

The first time i joined in 2011 and luckily met a couple fems early on who left good veris and the knock on was i had a great year (approx 15 meets)

Since moving and rejoining this year ive not got that early meet/veri and been tricky finding genuine people to meet.

OP nice to hear your positive message though.
