Got zero sex drive at the mo and wondering if there us any supplements or vitamins out there that can help boost it. Recently started HRT which isn't helping. Any advise?

Vitamin D is good for Libido. Also, meds’ (anti depressants etc) can wipe out your sex drive.., message me if you want to chat further? ??

I totally read the title as Zero Sex Drivel rather than Drive! which confused the heck out of me. Definitely go see your GP - I wish I had when mine tanked a few years ago - I lost three years to it when there was a very simple solution.

Zinc an magnesium but you will need to seek advice as vitamins do interfere with certain medications. Or you could look at libido diets. These won’t help with the changes you are going through mentally. Your mind may be in more need of stimulation or a more tantric style of sex.

I'd advise you go to your GP and get your hormone levels checked. Just to make sure.

If your estrogen levels are too low it does start affecting your... vaginal condition? (Sorry it's early and I need a coffee!) I found this after having a hysterectomy, plus being on testosterone doesn't help. So my vagina walls started thinning due to the lack of estrogen, this killed my sex drive to start with, then I got sore and uncomfortable down there. I now use a hormone cream every now and then to top up what I can no longer produce myself.

Now I'm not saying it's that extreme for you, just that if your estrogen levels are too low it can have a knock on effect with your sexual organs and your sex drive. It's not major, it just may need a tweak

that's a shame you probably just need a bit of time and maybe a change in lifestyle. Try going swimming or to the gym . My friends drive went through the roof when she was on hrt. I guess we are all different. Try not to worry as you can still have sex .imagine not being able to get a hard on now that would be a worry .good luck

There are many different varieties of HRT, maybe the one you are currently on isn't the best for you. Talk to your GP about trying a different combination.

I had a hysterectomy last year and I've had times where my sex drive has completely disappeared. I found upping my estrogen definitely helped. If you go as far as seeing a consultant they may recommend low dose testosterone but this is something I haven't tried yet. I was experiencing a lot of other menopause symptoms even though I'm on a high dose of estrogen. The consultant has started me on a new medication which is actually a type of antidepressant called Venlafaxine which is supposed to be really good with menopause symptoms. Unfortunately two weeks in my muscles are twitching every time I relax, the nausea was really bad but is improving and my ability to climax has disappeared, not to mention it taking me ages to wee! Obviously affecting the nerves down there somehow. I'm giving it six weeks to settle down then I'll be paying the GP a visit!

We don't need to operate at high levels of libido all the time. Sometimes your body just needs a while to adjust to things that are going on in your life and it switches some things off to allow it to concentrate on others.

Give yourself a rest from sex, allow yourself to work through whatever is going on and don't stress because you have no desire "at the moment", there's every chance it will return.

I don't know how long you've been feeling like this but don't rush in to medical or alternative solutions until you've given yourself time to adjust.

As said above stress levels are often a big player but do not forget that general opinion and experience of sexual experiences can also play a factor.

My advice would be to eat a good balanced diet and get plenty of exercise and see if that helps.

Also thinking about naughty scenarios to relight the fire
