There and to the left a bit

Just to make sure I've understood correctly - you met someone and played with them (presumably safely?) and after doing so they told you they normally play bareback?

If you played safely with them then you probably have nothing to worry about - and if you're regularly tested then anything would be highlighted next time you go (which may be worth bringing forward just to be sure).

Personally I'd not want to play with that person again but that choice is of course yours.

As long as you played safe and took responsibility for yourseleves ,then no worries.

If it makes you unconmfortable just don't meet again.

I'd be quite annoyed that they'd misled me and definitely wouldn't meet them again. However I trust no one when it comes to casual sex and assume that loads of people lie about safe sex, in fact a good proportion of men we've met expect bare back.

If they used a condom with you I don't really see the problem. Does it matter that they usually do bareback with other people? They still respected your wishes.

Am I missing something?

Sorry, was it their profile that said they played safe or did the explicitly tell you that themselves before playing? Just trying to figure it out.

If it was the former then there really isn’t a problem. My profile says safe sex is a must, however with partners from here that I’ve got to know and trust, I’ll suspend that rule.

If it’s the latter, then they’re arseholes.

Condoms only protect against diseases spread through penetration so why aren't you worried about oral transmissions??

How do you ever really know who is clean??

People who practice safe sex and get tested regularly are less likely to have STI's than people who don't. And condoms are reported to be 98-99% effective against certain STI's. An individual might weigh up the risk they are prepared to accept based on practicing safe sex with partners who also practice safe sex. But someone who lies about their usual practices is forcing the other party into a different risk level. I think that matters.
