Amazing some people we often get friends invites from people usually miles away (pic collectors I hear you say) who we normally accept cos we are polite after all. We then respond with a message saying we have accepted their invite but apprciate chances of meeting are slim due to distance in this instance we are in Bristol, SW England and they are in Aberdeen, Northern SAcotland Our message is unanswered and our message is just deleted !! without courtesy of a reply. Are we too sensitive or shall we move on ? Some rude people on fab it has to be said. Dont say too busy to reply to many messages as I will scream it just poor manners SIMPLES

So you think it is 'polite' to accept any stranger as a friend?, regardless of their location or if they appeal to you?

The fault lies not only with the people you term as rude....but with you for being so gullible I am afraid.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but you need to be more realistic.

Hi Jane we are not gullible I assure you but think manners and being reasonable even if this is a fuck site is important ...many not to too many others

I look at the profiles of those who have sent a friend request, if I like what I see I message them without adding them.

Not sure why someone would add anyone without finding out if their is some common ground to start with?

"Hi Jane we are not gullible I assure you but think manners and being reasonable even if this is a fuck site is important ...many not to too many others "

I see....your real gripe is whether people should reply to all messages they receive isn't it?

Why didn't you say so without going through all the motions about friends invites?

And NO....it's not rude to reply to EVERY message or friends invite you get on here....it's personal choice.

Jane its a joint moan if you like and perhaps the lack of reply and just an almost instant delete pisses me off and sure many others I know on here even more ...as many say they are on here to be fucked NOT fucked about and that means the annoyance of no shows after arranging meets but thats another story or thread which is usually resurfaces every other week

I have seen your comments on 'no replies' on other posts you have made on threads...you have even termed people who don't reply as 'Pig Ignorant'.....

Well guess what?....

The people who run this site DON'T consider it rude not to reply to every message and friends request you receive...at the end of the day that is all that matters.

So if you want to continue adding everyone who sends you a friends request do so....knock yourself out....but please don't act surprised that everyone of them doesn't want to be bosom buddies with you after they have [erved your private photo's.

You reap what you sow.....

Thanks Jane I do agree with some of your views and will consider random friends request cautiously after all this is not FACEBOOK !! As regards the view sof the site owners are mor eimpoprtant that the users I would disagree with completely with you. Common courtesy and answering well constructive messages should be something done by all ...even you cant get that many messages

Thanks for your sarcastic personal message Op....I won't reply to it as it summed you up completely.

If that is an example of the messages you send people....no wonder they don't reply.

Jane I detect a lack of humour on your part !!! my sense of humour can sometimes be expressed in a way not to expect a reply (Which i did say in my personal reply to you so worked perfectly) but I dont know what it is But do always seem to like to have the last word. Thanks for responses and HAPPY SWINGING DAYS & NIGHTS in Torbay xx

Pmsl at this and I started the first day with the intention of replying to everyone, number 1 not enough hours in the day! and number 2 when you try and politely decline I found I was getting the so can you tell me why please questions. My profile now clearly states if I dont reply then dont fancy you its not rocket science I know if I have sent a guy a message and he has deleted it without replying then I'm not for him and that's fine

If you accept friends invites from people miles away what the heck do you expect? We don't accept them, just send a message asking if they travel, if they don't reply we don't worry, life is just far too short! Z

So, let me get this right... you accept friend invites off complete strangers that have NOT made any effort whatsoever to 'befriend' in any other way shape or form?...hitting the 'invite as a friend' button is the best effort they can come up with and you think they are going to reply to your message AFTER accepting the invite?

....and you DON'T think they were rude in them sending you a random friend invite?

Keep falling foul of the pic collectors if you want... but try not to expect them to be polite enough to reply to you

I do the same, I accept most friends invites but if they aren't followed up by a message then whats the point.

We are always very grateful for genuine friends invites but we make it very clear to anyone who wants to send one that we require a brief note as to why they want to add us...

If they cant be bothered to send a brief message with the invite then we simply bin it and block them.

If we think WE are what THEY are looking for we add them and let them know with a brief 'hello and thanks' message from ourselves..

We, sadly, rarely get friends invites anyway probably because of our non swinging stance... so the chancers are really easy to pick out.

I think I should start the "I'm rude for not accepted friends invites from people who haven't even had the audacity to talk to me first, So Bite me!!" Society....

you can accept every friends invite going... however if your next gripe is there "I've had my pics stolen and now they are plastered over all different sites on the internet" then the person to blame is the person staring you back in the mirror.....

so if you are the one accepting friends invites from all and sundry... and answering every single piece of mails.... I have an african prince with an investment scheme you might be interested in....

so do you also answer every piece of junkmail that comes thru your door at home as well... or does "ignorance" only stretch so far????

p.s if i get a friends invite from someone i don't know and haven't spoken to.. i wait till they are offline... aceept it.. have a quick peep.. and then delete them from my list...

i know... i am a bad person... i am going to hell...

Everyone has their preferences on how they use the facilities on "Fab", what may work for some may not work for others. We choose not to show pics on our profile, and only issue pics in private to folk we have already chatted too and feel comfortable to do so, as we don`t accept (or send) "random" friends invites.

We are not new to the site (been here in excess of 2 years) but recently had a profile change for personal reasons, and have noticed since we do not have any pics on show or in private we haven`t recieved one single unsolicited "friends invite".

*Yours Billy no mates*.
