Can any of you fab members advise as to what to write in messages I've tried all sorts of approaches and never get any joy, where am I going wrong?

In the spirit of constructive criticism...

I've come across your profile a couple of times. The things which have put me off winking or messaging, are:

- your photos look very serious, you're quite good looking but your photos would be more likely to attract people if you were smiling.

- your profile text starts off saying 'I'm not into long profiles'...our profile is quite long, in the hope that it tells people what they need to know about us before they get in contact. You're initial statement indicates that you're unlikely to bother reading our profile properly, and therefore unlikely to want to spend any time getting to know us.

Maybe have a think about how you want to come across to people, and try to convey that better.

What sort of approach have you been adopting when you message people?

Personally, you'd have to send a spectacularly interesting, engaging message for us to get past the above and feel compelled to reply.

Good point but I think most on here are thick skinned enough to block and move on rather than let idiots spoil it for them. I never buy this recurring argument of idiots spoiling it for others

I looked at your profile op and you've apparently made some changes since the thread began. There's nothing wrong with the text, there should perhaps be a bit more to describe yourself and want you're into / after. One profile pic isn't enough as people generally want to see more. And yes, very old veris don't help. Get back on the saddle and head to clubs / socials. Best of luck.

The main problem seems to be women/couples get so many per day that your message won't get seen before they mass delete. Be careful though because I brought this up yesterday and got jumped on by the forum cliques

I look at pics and read the profile

Of it doesn't look or sound compatible with me I simply message

Sorry not my type

I think that's enough and polite !!!!?

The abuse I get at times is horrendous

So maybe others get this and just mass delete or don't message back you can't win either way unfortunately

I don't think couples get that many. Most are crap messages and/or profile. Improve both and getting verified too will improve most peoples chances no end.

OP it really doesn't matter what you put in your message if you don't have a good profile and a selection of public pictures.

I would suggest doing a forum search for profile advice, there are hundreds of threads on this. Pick out the good bits and see if anything said may help you.

Once you are happy with any changes you may decide to make try again sending out some messages.

Make sure you think you match what the recipient seems to be looking for and read their profile. Try to send a polite, respectful message that shows you have read it!

Don't worry too much if you don't get many replies. That is usual for single men on fab. I would suggest deleting your sent messages straight away rather than keep checking if they have been read.

I would also recommend sticking around on the forums and getting involved in the fun. Although o lay a small percentage of fab users actively come on the forums its a great way to get to know others and people do meet from it.

Yes ladies do mass delete and you can get inundated with so many it's hard to cut through... every women or couple are different but coming across fun a bit carefree, have pics with smiling faces and a few Cheeky comments when chatting is always helpful. make someone laugh and they'll

Remember you better....: either that or have ripped Abbs and chiselled features and a strong jaw line lol ??
