I've seen plenty of threads on improving profiles but what makes a good first message?

If the message does not peak interest then there's no point in looking at the profile.

When you search, you find a combination of profile and pictures you like.

So how do you express that and get across the next bit e.g. more information needed or arrange meet.

Surely saying "your pics look great and can we meet" doesn't work and has been done too often.

We like ones that show you've read the whole profile..

Avoid asking the same old "what you into" questions. (unless the profile your messaging has zero info on it)

Make the title something that stands out from all the "Hi, Hello, Nice Pics" type things.

Least that's what we look for.

There is no such things as a good generic message. By that I mean you may write message. One woman or couple may think it is ok. Others may think it is crap.

Tailor your message to whoever you are emailing. Read their profile and use that as a guide to writing your message.

I don't think the initial post asks about "generic" mail ? It says first mail !

If you are sending generic mail then I think they call that blanket calling without the personal touch .

And no copy and paste messages. Each message you send should be individual to the person and profile your sending it to.

Regardless of what message you send, if the person/people you are messaging don't think you fit what they are looking for and they don't like your profile then you are not likely to get a response.

Sending face pics may help.

Tailor the style to the profile.

If a profile is looking for a slower approach then "want a fuck" probably won't work!

Mention something to show you've read the profile.. it can lead to you saying why you meet their requirements

Be polite

Send a photo so they can see you (if you don't face visible face pic)

Be witty but not stupid

You need to grab the attention of the recipient with the first few words, as they can be read without opening the message, if it is eye-catching then chances are it will be opened.

It is to some degree an elevator pitch where you've x amount of time to grab their attention, but be honest and let them know what's in it for them.

There's a saying about you only get one chance to make a first impression, so invest so time to make it count.
