Start with a release ring that you can take off easily. Then progress to rubber ones.

I wear a steel one.... be sure to get the right size though... too big and you get no benefit....too small and it's bloody painful!!

trust me you will know if its too small it will hurt after only a few mins and yes it will go black if left on.

too small and it wont have any effect so its important to get the right size you may need to buy a cple of sizes before you get the right one,
