I was recently sent some photos by a guy I had met, of him having a threesome with another guy and a girl. The girls face, pussy, tits, everything, is clearly visible in all the photos and he made no effort to obscure her face or crop the photos in any way (I think the photos were sent to me in a "look at me and how clever I am" kind of way!).

I would be very surprised if the girl had consented to him sending photos of her to other people, and certainly on her fab profile she crops out her face and removes her distinctive tattoo from pictures, so I'm sure she is keen to maintain some privacy.

I am very careful who I send photos to and never allow meets to take photos of me, and feel a bit stuck about what to do in this situation. If I was this girl, I would want to know that photos of me had been shared without my permission so I could address it with the fella. On the other hand perhaps it's easier just to not mention it to her and she will be none the wiser. I imagine the guy sent the photos to various other fab friends, and this clearly is a violation of her privacy, so should she not be made aware? I would want to know.

Normally I'd say don't get involved as this is normally a good default approach.

She may or may not know and she may or may not mind about the pics after all.

Or you could forward the pic to the girl and say something like "looks like you had fun and braver than me to show it all on pics" and leave it at that

I had the recently with someone I know. Her face was plastered all over the local updates and the hot pics but I know she would never have consented. I told her and she got the man in question to take it down and then blocked me. Which is fine... except the picture is now back all over the place. On her profile with her face pixelated out but I've seen it on at least 3 or 4 other profiles with her face out.

This is the position I keep coming back to - I would want to know if it was me.

Obviously I'm not going to do anything with the photos or put them online, but he quite possibly sent the photos to lots of other people who may not be so conscientious or careful, and I think she should know, yes?

I never allow pictures or videos nor send any and this is the exact reason why ..

Ive had friends tell me and seen pictures / vids of other friends and people off this site.Ive also known guys to screen shot profiles and brag they ve shagged that person. There's also a couple of lovely ladies on here that regularly bring up and show stuff about me to guys .. Weirdly that usually works in my favour though it dont impress me!!

There are way too many nasty jealous and insecure people on this site too that think nowt of sending this stuff to partners and family tagging on FB.

I think everyone should think first and if you've allowed them to be taken be aware theres an almost definate chance any pic or vid you've had taken is circulating fabs or furtherer afield because even though it's not legal theres is not much you can do to stop it once its out there ..

I too am always careful and ensure any photos are done on MY phone so that I can edit/control.

I do feel this girl has the right to know that the guy shared her photos - probably with more people than just me. I shall drop her a message I think x

I think the answer is to not allow any photos or videos to be taken during sexual encounters with third parties.

People can seem fine at the time but jealousy could set in and then the trouble starts with images and videos being posted on web sites and social media. Not saying it will always happen but it seems to be an issue hence this thread.

Trust no one and you'll not go far wrong.

I think its atrocious for someone to put a pic up with another person, let alone send it to someone else without said persons consent!!!

I have those kind of pics on my profile, and even though they are obscure, I made sure I got full consent before I added them.

Similar happened to me. I spotted a friends pics on here and told her. I ended up the bad guy (still not sure why). Not sure if I'd bother again.

I can see why you want to tell the lady in question, but also can see the shit storm that could kick off in both directions

Personally I think the fact that the guy has made no attempt to blur out the face, tattoo takes the piss.

Whilst you may want to know the other parties may not, it's tricky I would say. I would say block him and be decisive with what ever you decide

Personally I hate seeing other people's sex vids tbh I find them a bit of a bore ... completely out of order him sharing anything that was a moment shared between him and anyone else especially if recognisable

I actually commented on another thread regarding this when guys say it's an ex gf or something

Personally we've only ever sent pictures of us with others with the permission of the others involved and no face pictures of them.

We too have had pictures sent to us of a lady that looked more like a Conquest, I've had her you haven't and it was one of our friends who knew nothing of theses pictures being past on and was absolutely fuming.

He has since left the site.

I would hope she'd be grateful to you for giving her a heads up about it, even if she was fine with him sharing the unedited version. I would also hope someone would do that for us if we were in her position (although we're very careful about including identifying features in explicit pics because of scenarios like this)

This is why my photos on here are tame. Nothing you couldn't see on a beach. Because unfortunately some people are thoughtless or just plain vicious.

If you want to see a graphic image of me, you have to check me in real time!

I'm a semi-pro photographer and although I'm not too sure about the laws regarding revenge porn as I think some new laws were passed last year to make it illegal. What I do know is that the person taking the photographs owns the copyright to those images and therefore can do whatever they want with them non commercially. If they wish to sell those images and make money from then then they have to have a signed model release form.

I have done photoshoots for several fab friends and I would never put any images of anyone anywhere on the internet without their permission. I have my reputation to think about. You need to be very careful who you let take pictures of you in compromising positions xx

If you want pics taken I think best to use your own phone or camera if your getting someone you just met to take them .you never know where pics could go otherwise

I think I would mind my own business to be honest. The lady could have asked them not to take pix tbh and has her own opportunity to protect her identity etc.

Ignorance is bliss and often doing such actions starts off chains of events that we have no control of.

The above is true in many areas regarding copyright. However when an image is created in a private premises rules of privacy (Expectation of Privacy), and also when of a sexual nature voyeurism law comes into play.

Commercial images and distribution are covered by strict rules but not always adhered to.

While rules have changed with regards to the posting of intimate images without consent and authorities & service providers are providing better support the real problem still remains with reposting / sharing as it takes a lot longer to have images removed if at all.

With regards to the original question yes we would let them know as we would hope others would inform us if in that situation so at least we have the choice of what to do.

I'd want to know. Dead easy to block out a face even if it's just a black box. It seems a form of revenge porn to me. Maybe no respect for the lady, no matter what he claims? Or trying to show off maybe, a Billy Bigbollocks saying "look what I did ma, I'm having sex".

I would always say any pics need to be taken on my phone/camera.

That way the photographer has control of the image but I have control of the edit.

As it is mailing someone is not illegal and if they react badly to the messenger, then block is available.

But it really is a case of if privacy is important to you, you have to control what you can.

TBH I have thought about this

If photos were taken at the play time and consent was given for them to be on site but be friends only then I personally think that is what should be.

Some of my photos have a single female but I have edited the photos, and chosen photos where the lady in question can not be identified.

A load of my photos were taken by a single female on my camera so who owns those photos - is it her or me, now she has left the site, I haven't got a clue

The photographer owns the photo, regardless of whose, ahem, equipment was used. She pressed the shutter, she owns the shots. Don't ask me what happens if you both have a finger on the shutter!

I believe the recent "revenge porn" laws require the prosecution to prove an intention to "distress or embarass" the person in the photo or video, so maybe not illegal in this case, where the guy's motive was to "sell" himself/titillate a third party? Still a thoughtless thing to do though.

I think this may be true. My ex husband did something similar( got into my phone took pictures off and sent them to his sister

!!!!!-seriously!!) I asked my policemen next door neighbour and he pretty much told me the above.

If the tables were turned and they were pictures of you, what would you like the other lady to do?

I think you should refer to your own moral compass for direction. None of us can second guess what the other lady has consented too or, how she would like us to react to this situation. If you would like to be told then tell her. If you think people should mind their own...then don't tell her.

I personally would like to know if photo's were being shared without my consent and, if I had consented, I would see you as a kind person that was just looking out for a fellow being and not be cross with you! Even if she does tell you to mind your own...What's the worst that can happen?

Sometimes it's not the things we do that we regret but the things we didn't do!

I allow pics to be taken but only on my camera. I ask them to give me an email address so I can remove identifying bits such as tattoos, faces etc.
