Avoiding fakers

In last couple of weeks I have arranged to meet people off this site and sister sites to this, now every single person I have arranged to meet have not turned up, this is with three people, two have just deleted their account and left, one had a excuse but how do you avoid these people and how do you make sure a meet is actually going to happen? I don't think its possible .you can't be 100% sure about anyone on here . a no show is par for the course on this site .just try and go with your instinct .and before anyone harps on about pics or verifications .to me these are meaningless on here .I've had loads of no shows with so called verifications . a lot on here are all talk and live in a fantasy world . I know what world I'd like to send them . this is meant to be a fun site but winding people up is no fun at all believe me. simple things please simple minds .good luck in your search .one day a genuine person will pop up .have fun xxx

Indeed I hope so I have booked a hotel with a guy later on who seems legit and really nice but if not I am £75 down for nothing and agree with verification one of the no shows sent multiple face pics and did not mean he showed up.

Why isnt that guy paying for the hotel as well? If he doesn't show up, advertise for another meet from someone else. Next time do a social then book a sex meet up.

Not fake if you read my profile explains my situation got with TG as will be starting to live full time in a couple of months but only have a few female clothes at the moment so went with a t shirt as it is androgynous enough.

If you are forking out money like that in the hope that you can meet strangers you are setting yourself up for disappointment. What if they get there and dont want to play, that's if they turn up at all.

Doesn't matter if he is paying for his own travel. He's sleeping in the hotel too and need a to pay his share. Especially since he's using the room as much as you are. Genuine nice folk would offer to share costs.

Your profile is fair and apart from uploading more pics (male or female you) there's not much more you can do. This site is full of dreamers and fantasists who often like to timewaste. I think those type get off on it. I'm sorry you've been unlucky so far. I'd definitely recommend more socials though as a man or woman. Couldn't hurt huh? Good luck.

Get a face pic and a phone number early in the conversation. Only meet people with at least two published verifications from different people. Only meet people who have been on the site for a certain length of time.

Nothing is foolproof. Some absolutely intend to meet and then get cold feet on the day. Some have verifications from meets that they actually turned up to, but that doesn't mean they can be arsed turning up to the one they arranged with you.

"Can't travel, can't accommodate" limits your options considerably. The practicalities of actually meeting someone who can do neither are problematic. People who actually meet tend to consider things like this. The one handed fantasists aren't bothered.

OP, i think everybody has experience that.

What I do now is:

1. When I book hotel, it's because I'm vacationing and the fab-meet is secondary. Therefore i dont lose anything if the meet didnt turn up.

2. I always ask them for their number and told them that they have to confirm 2hrs prior to the meet. If they dont, I wont bother changing and just go out enjoying the outdoors.

3. I prefer to meet regulars rather than new ones - and they must be meet-verified

4. Cross check the verifications. Single verification from a hidden profile is suspicious.

5. If the person starts ping-pong messages asking what you going to wear etc, just play along if you want to but dont bother changing or waiting.

Those are based on my experience.

Might be right might be wrong but it works for me.

Use premier inns where you can cancel up to 1/2pm and tell the guy you want to meet before that time for a social or you'll cancel.

Or get him to book and say you'll pay half that night

Kind of agree but live with parents so have to meet at a hotel and to me it is safer at a hotel,meeting at their house tends to scare me especially first time as do';t know me so could just chop me up and put me in the freezer or something, will ask for their numbers and will start to meet regulars instead and tend to delete ping pongers already but thank you for the advice

In the case of a hotel meet why not turn the tables and suggest they pay for hotel and you will maybe pay them in cash . Or even get them to email you the hotel confirmation . Unfortunately there are wasters on here that spoil the fun and it tends to be single guys playing the couples profile .

Its always a case of "you never know". No matter what you do.

We done the phone call bit and then booked hotel on the belief it was all arranged. To then get a bullshit text 20mins later....

You can never tell, no matter what you do.

Phone is way better. When you call mid evening and phone goes dead the moment you say who you are you know they have an unaware partner! Certainly s out many of the phonies...but it's still not a guarantee.

There's no full proof way of avoiding the time wasters, fakes or single but secretly married/attached! They're everywhere, just try to keep the damages to your wallet to a minimum and take the advice about booking refundable rooms etc

When you spend time on here you can sometimes spot the fakes, picture collectors, and people that genuinely are here for what they say.

We've talked to loads of people, and quickly realised what they want. We've had 2 meets where the lady didn't show. You just put it behind you and move on xxx

So we asked for there other verified profile names so we could look lol . and guess what message deleted and no reply . They (that's the single guy pretending to be a couple ) sent us a blind invite that always set the alarm bells ringing

Always book something like premier in. That you can cancel before one if they don't turn up or most day hotels you pay on arrival.

On another site I knew people who created fake profile to get them lots of verification so means nothing really and yep will stop talking sexy I have to admit I have got to admit to doing it a couple of times and then they just leave and will start to do phone verification

Why can't the moderators establish a section on here where people can name and shame, thereby making it easier for the genuine ones....a quick cross reference and if their names appear on the list, avoid at all costs....of course, around 75% of the users on here would know the game's up and disappear but so what?

Because It wouldn't work well! I've been called a fake/a man just because I've politely said 'no thx' to people that I'm not interested in ......... it would just open up a window for people that have been turned down and are bitter about it!! Although there is loads of fakes on here there's also loads of drama queens
