Seen a few profiles with the tag " trophy wife"

Not sure I get the meaning benind this, does this mean the wife is a lot better looking than the husband? What does it indicate or mean to people?

To me a "trophy wife" is chosen by a man because he likes to display her like something he's won somehow. She's ornamental and not valued for anything other than her looks and as a symbol of his success.

But I've never seen it on a profile. I think it would put most people off.
