To block people who's age range your outside of so they don't appear on/clog up your updates page?

This I don't do but I like your point, maybe just the totally vague profiles with no pics and age range issue will get blocked then...

Not really - if it helps you great. You can always review your block list from time to time. Pop a private note on their profile to remind yourself why you blocked them in case you find they've changed their age requirements in the future.

It can work that way as well .Thing is nobody wants to read moans or negative status updates .These I see and stay clear of or block .
