Std testing. Where and how often

Hi.

New to swinging. Had my first club meet friday.

I've not had any sexual contact with anyone for about five years.

Now that "I'm playing" safely with condoms how often should I get checked and where do you go.

I do 3 monthly for my own piece of mind. Hampshire do a postal test or the sexual health clinic. They then text results x

I go every 5-6 months.

I use my local walk-in NHS clinic. The test takes 10 minutes. You get a text about 5-7 days later telling you the results.

When you are there, if you have any questions, ask the nurse.

Simple

Google your local GUM clinic, its confidential so they don't tell your doctor unless you consent to them doing so. Some places offer walk in clinics, others make appointments

I get tested every 12-14 weeks. You get a text about a week later with the result

Check your local gay sauna/swinger club too. Club 29 in Leicester have two outreach clinics a week that do the full monty. No waiting, no booking.

OP if you don't know where to go to get tested does that mean you've never been tested before?

If this is the case or if it has been a long time since you were tested you should go and get it done ASAP. You may not have had sex for quite a while but you could still be carrying something from a previous partner without showing symptoms.

Always test every two to three months. I go to local gum clinic, it only takes about 15 minutes and they text you the results x

Every 3 months at the local GUM clinic walk-in - is quick, easy and not at all awkward.

In fact they actually seem to appreciate that I'm being responsible given my lifestyle choice and usually ask about what clubs I go to or how the swinging lifestyle works.

Suggest going for the first one ASAP OP just to put a line in the sand and give you something to work forward from.

I've ordered a postal kit from a local clinic. I will try and get in to see them aswell.
