No. We used to go to a social and single men were made as welcome as anyone else.

no imeant the people asking you to attend inquired about Dorchester deleted no answer and then Newport asked if i was sure then said it was full go figure?

Some people organise socials and limit the number and type of people who can attend. That's their prerogative of course. Try and find socials that are more inclusive. Good luck.

We limit the number of single men and they must be members for over 3 months, apart from that all are welcome

some socials do limit the amount of men attending, i never did when arranging mine. think men need all the help they can get with socialising.
