By all means get spunky who doesn't love getting sticky! But if you don't know, for certain, you're safe why would you risk other people's health? That seems negligent.

It might encourage us all to get tested more regularly and far more importantly get the people with hidden problems treated. Then the backbackers get their clean bill of health and keep whole swinging community safer.

For once they could lord it over the rest of the swingers who frown upon their fetishes "Look I can prove I'm safe, and there's the last few months tests too. Where's yours?"

Yes it is. Considering these are sister sites there are several things unavailable on one site that are available on the other. Such as; FORUM...Fabguys doesn't have that but this site does

I think it would be the responsible thing for the site do to promote safe sex. BB people can find each other easier and the rest of us can avoid or not. Make it a one time option, click it and your a BB for life lol! They can even have a little toxic badge (this bit was joke).

Its silly now where big % of safe sex people are really BB people. Would be such a small change that would have profound impact to the overall safety of the entire swinging community. For BB people it would avoid having to ask the question do you use a condom. Saves the hassle of being blocked etc everyone wins. Or going to meet and the subject coming up and then having to walk way.

I get tested every three months but I could not scan my results as they are given over the phone.

3. I am also not naive enough to think that using a condom would protect me 100% anyway ... but when i get regularly checked it is for my own health ... not so i can wave a bit of paper at someone and say look you can fuck me without protection now

I thought it could promote safe sex, because I would more easily avoid people who look for bareback sex. Without them cluttering up my search it would make my searches safer.

Besides this site is not out to force people to have safe sex (that will fail), but it should be promoting choice and allow users to obtain the correct information.

My question was not intended to offend and I apologise if you felt it was. I mentioned swingers as this I a swinging forum and of course I know stds are not exclusive to the swinging scene. I don't and never will use my test result as a way of saying we don't need safe sex because im officially clean. However I do post them so that whoever wishes to have fun with me can see I do get tested regularly and then they can decide what way they want to go.

I'm not sure where your information for your 2nd statement comes from. My centre recently told me it's the most common risk. Had 3 charts shown to me to confirm what they said. Would like to know your source.

If there was a bearback search option and it would clearly be used to eliminate those that have bearback on there preferences, those people could simply edit their preferences. Therefore no one would have bearback as a preference and the search option would be pointless.

I have no problem with people choosing to avoid others that do things they don't wish to do themselves. However all activities between everyone involved relies on trust and can anyone that demand safe sex only be certain that the person they are sucking,licking or kissing has never had unprotected sex?

I agree however without any evidence it still comes down to trust and honesty from all involved. I don't see that any of us are totally safe although I feel that in the main swingers are more in tune with the risks you still have those of both sexes that will say and do anything just to have sex. I therefore don't see any foolproof way to be totally safe other than wearing a full body condom and thus taste and feel nothing but latex and what fun would that be!

Only full proof way is to abstain ... but as ive said earlier in the thread its about balancing risk vs enjoyment at a level you are happy with ... for some thats bareback with regular testing, for me its condoms for penetrative sex outwith a monogamous relationship

But even those who prefer bare back aren't necessarily wanting to do it with everyone... just don't tick safe sex and discuss the option with people your interested in meeting.

I've safe sex ticked but doesn't mean it's a hard and fast rule, same as anything it's just an interest!

The only way to know if you're clean and safe to have bareback is if you go with the person(s) to the clinic and have a test at the same time, then neither of you can have sex with anyone else until you get the results back... And then the process needs to be repeated 3 months later if you've both been sexually active before you got together because it can take that long for any issues to develop and become clinically visible ... Obviously neither of you can have sex with anyone else during that period. So basically sex comes with risks whether you go bareback or not but bareback is way more risky.

Personally I have a full mot every year and before every "relationship" I go into, I also ask by new bf to have a test if we become exclusive... and this helps minimise issues and also helps people to behave if try choose to cheat during our relationship as I prefer to have responsible sex generally... if I got something I'd want to know asap and let the next person I get emotionally involved with what they're getting themselves into if the shit has hit the fan at any point

Why do they have a responsibility to promote such a thing. If we're really going down the moral route, this site should shut down as it's promoting illicit sex, many from.the general public would find wrong, distasteful and disgusting.

Too true... You will still get dozens or hundreds of messages a day from people saying the opposite of what their profile shows just on the off chance that they score a shag from it.

There does appear to be a lot of double standards in this forum at times. Those who don't wish to be judged are usually the first to judge others. For a community that encourages openness it's not surprising that many people keep quiet. I don't judge what others do, that's up to them, but the honestly of wanting BB gives me the choice to make a decision as to weather I want to meet said person(s) or not

"How about an option to upload a scan of your latest, dated, test results if you're a bareback fan.

If you're going to support a cause do it properly, prove that your clean and you're safe to play with. Just because you don't have obvious symptoms doesn't mean you are clean.

And just because you have a test result saying you are clean doesnt mean you are either ... could have caught something too soon before the teat for it to show or after the test before the results

Absolutely. A full STI screening resets the mileometer as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps to a few days or weeks before the latest test, but certainly removing the cumulative risk before that.

There are different kinds of HIV test now. The older and cheaper ones detect antibodies and will give false negatives in those who have yet to create an immune response (which is actually when they're at their most infectious.) This is typically no more than 6 weeks in healthy people but can be up to 12 if their immune system is already compromised. The more modern tests can detect the presence of the virus rather than the immune response. They work as soon as the virus or its indicators are guaranteed to be present in the body fluid sample. Usually a matter of days from infection.

If in doubt, ask which kind of test they're using and what the window period is.
