Should I mention in my profile my disability I've had from birth. What are fabbers thoughts on disability and fab?

It is down to you whether you do or not. Personally I think that if you and someone have been chatting and struck up a rapport any disability you have should not matter as it does not define the person that you are. Just my opinion. Xx

It surely depends on the disability. If you're short sighted I'd not bother, but if you're impotent then I'd say that's worth a mention

i think you should briefly mention how it affects you in comparison with someone able bodied. if it affects you at all.

I feel it should be mentioned, personally.

It depends on the disability.

If it's really obvious and you haven't mentioned it, I wouldn't be happy. It's the lack of honesty that would bother me not the disability.

For example, I wear hearing aids but tend not to mention it as they're invisible and don't have any impact on play.

If I was missing a limb, I would mention if on my profile.

I've no problem with any disability. But I would mention it before a meet even if you don't want it on here publicly.

Good luck mate.

Having a disability is nothing to be ashamed about and it's down to how comfortable you are with the person you are meeting before you tell them personal info so only share if your comfortable!

It's their problem not yours if they have an issue with it

Personally it wouldn't bother us

So good luck

I think if you feel it needs to be mentioned, or if it's something mega obvious like missing a limb, then go ahead. If it's something subtle then you don't need to unless it will affect play.

That being said, don't let it define you

You shouldn't have to disclose it. People should accept you the way you are. If they have an issue with it, then that's them with the problem.

its nothing to do with acceptance. If it was a disability that would affect a meet then you have a right to know beforehand. If its something not obvious or likely to affect a meet then there is no need to mention it

As others have said, up to you and depends on what it is.

Depending on what it is, I may not want to meet you. Just means we aren't compatible.

Lack of honesty is most fabbers pet hate so not mentioning your disability might end up backfiring on you if they find out when u meet its not like you can get naked and say by the way you should know I,m......

I'm curious- you don't have to answer. But why not put that in your profile? It says 'disabled' but that could mean anything.

I think if its not mentioned, you meet and they reject you that will have an effect on your self esteem and confidence. Best to mention it before then that situation is avoided

If I were you, I'd say I walk with crutches. Or have a photo of you using crutches. *Why* you use them is no one's business and completely irrelevant to having a shag.

Why is not wanting to meet a disabled person 'laughable' or 'narrow-minded'?

I wouldn't meet a short, fat, old man; is that too 'laughable' or 'narrow-minded'?

It's your choice. If you think it needs mentioning then do it. It will depend on who you talk to as to how they will react.

Unless it affects your sexual performance I wouldn't mention it.

There are some shallow minded people on this site and it's nothing to do with them if it does not affect your sexual performance.

Good luck OP

He already said it's spina bifida. You are are right in that it can vary on a case by case basis. An it would make it a 'moot point' but that's a completely different discussion.

"You shouldn't have to disclose it. People should accept you the way you are. If they have an issue with it, then that's them with the problem. "

They might have the problem, but people meet or don't meet for all manner of subtle reasons.

I'm 48 and so wouldnt get meets with lots of 25 year olds. I can't say they should just accept me as I am and not disclose my age.

I'm sure the op has lots going for him that others don't, hiding something of significant relevance to a meet isn't right on anyone.
