Read but not deleted

Hello

Just wanted to ask, when I message someone and it gets deleted I know I don't interest that person. But if the message is just read does that mean I should send a follow up message to confirm or could it just be they don't delete their messages.

I don't want to spam people with messages but I also don't want to leave it be if it could mean a possible meet.

What's the best course of action?

If they are interested, they will reply.

Hassling is not cool.

I know and I don't want to be someone that does that.

Thanks

Hull but travel regularly

I delete if I'm not interested or leave undeleted if I'm undecided or want to reply but don't have the time there and then. One follow up is fine for me, if I've forgotten to reply I'll at least send something. If you don't hear anything to that one then assume not interested and move on

If you haven't had a reply just move on. We never deleate our mail we just let it fall off the page.

I would read more into the fact that they havent replied rather than the fact they havent deleted.

We always reply, unless they didn't read our profile and we just hit delete.

I wanted to read this because I am having the same issue. It's good when the message is deleted because you know not to bother again. If it's not then I do wonder if it's oversight, too busy, undecided or not interested. I really don't want to bother someone not interested, it wastes everyone time and causes unnecessary annoyance.

The consensus seems to be that it may mean something or nothing.

On the behalf of all decent people who don't want to bother uninterested people, please delete, it's a pretty clear message and just block those who ignore that.

Ditto She's probably just keeping you as a Plan b, or c, or maybe even d, if others don't work out. If she didn't delete your message, you may have 1 chance in about 200 of a reply. Just don't hold your breath, and don't wait around

Sending a follow up message is just annoying and if I was undecided I'd make up my money no to be no. Sometimes I open a message and don't reply or delete because of life reasons...the phone rings, internet drops, phone freezes, kids need me , customers appear etc, etc. I try to remember to reply later. But if it was someone I was really interested in I would remember to do it. As I said if they sent a 'have you seen my previous message' I'd just delete it and not bother. It screams needy!

I find it annoying when I haven't replied to a message because it's stuck in a backlog but the man sends more messages.

I rarely delete messages. I just let them fall off the page. I chat to hardly anyone on my messages. Only a few. If I haven't replied, yet the message has been opened. It does mean I'm not interested. As I'd reply straight away, if I was. Other replies on here show different reasons for not deleting read messages though Op. So it looks like you may not have your answer

If they don't respond. I'll assume they're not interested. No point in hassling people.

After you've sent a bunch of messages, delete your sent mail. It will stop you obsessing.

It can give mixed messages, I've had someone read my message, look at my profile, fab my picture but not reply so I messaged again to say thanks for the fab but still no reply. There's plenty more fish in the sea so I just move on.

Does every message need a reply every time. No. You open a mail, you open another mail.. and on and on. If they would have liked your message they would have replied.

It's a sign that they are gagging for it and have moist panties

I'd not send any other messages and play hard to get

We delete mail but always save the last one. Not about not being interested it is more about not having a long long list of mail and we always have the persons last message for reference. Xx

We received a message, "Xx"

We replied with a hi and short question and they replied with, "Yes", and then hid their profile!

There are some bizarre goings on.

We delete the rude ones or ones we are not interested in meeting ,we may keep some if we are interested depending on distance and we hotlist those that either go to club we use or who can accom , the guys that send cock but no facial pics normally get deleted straight away unless there is plenty length and girth as wife may be tempted lol

I have had a situation (a few times) where an email has been read and not replied to. Few months later, another email and it did receive a response. If I see it gets deleted, I know that's a no for sure, but just lately I've taken to the send and delete method.

You can never win on here as there's always touchy people that can't deal with there not your type and they take it as a massive insult or rejection.

If I didn't like them I would always reply with.Sorry your not for me.

Then I had a thousands and one questions why I thought I was better than them or what makes me dislike them.I got bored of justifying why I wasn't sexually mentally attracted to them.

So I started just deleting the ones I didn't like with and I wouldn't reply.

Then I had them replying with nasty comments like.

F*ck you then. You could of at least said you wasn't interested.

So now if there not for me I won't waste there time or mine with a reply.

I won't delete them as they should get the hint that way that if there was that instant attraction I would of replied x

The only problem with deleting after sending is some people do forget who they've messaged and then involuntarily become a nuisance by sending again.

If we get refused or deleted, we block so we don't contact them again by mistake
