I am very reluctant to send face pics to users even via private message but have done so in the past. If I was to fall out with them (and I won't name names) but have had unwarranted abuse in the past, am I being overly paranoid that they have my face pic that they could download, and it has the name of the site on the bottom? I don't give out my name or number so it is just a pic, but you know what people are like now and it makes me reluctant to share photos however I am aware people need to see face pics and so do I for their to be an attraction. Any advice would be great!

Lots of people don't have face pics or only send them when very sure. You could have some public pics that don't identify you though.

We have decided not to put any pics on our profile this time after our last experience on fab.

Become a site supporter and have the option to take those off, once the mail has been seen.

The photo sent doesn't vanish that quickly though I find.

^ yes thats what I thought too. Do u know what the way I see it thinking about it now, even if he did all he has is a face pic of me ( I don't send naughty ones) and he does not know my name or number so what could he do with it? I don't want any of my family or friends to know I am on here but my face pics are all over social media so anyone at any time with a warped sense of humour could download them and post them onto sites. I remember years ago my brothers friend at school sent his pic to a gay porn site, no one believed it was anything other than a joke. Plus these people are in the same boat as me! As far as he knows I could use his face pics that he sent me against him (which I won't) so maybe I am just worrying unnecessarily? xx

We don't really worry if someone does something with our face pics, because they are just faces. Faces that could have come from anywhere on the internet. I don't feel that a picture of a face proves anything. Obviously we wouldnt show a clear face pic on a nude or sexual picture. However, there are ways of disguising faces e.g. sunglasses, cropping, blurring.

It takes 24hrs I asked once, so it's best to manually remove

Sorry to sound thick so once you have sent it and they have read it you then go in and delete it? Thanks x

If you delete the face pic from your profile, it automatically deletes from the sent message, too.

A tip is to use a face pic that you haven't used elsewhere, e.g. social media. If the recipient does a google image search on the pic, it will direct to any sites it's on.

Okay great I understand now! A good point about using a pic that is not on social media although I think my facebook settings are set that only friends or friends of friends can see me. One thing I did notice is I was chatting to a guy ages ago and did end up giving him my number. He then said I had popped up as a suggested friend on Facebook which really freaked me out, apparently FB goes thru your contacts so just something to be weary of xx

Plus I'm sure if the person saves the message then the pic stays even if it is deleted from the original mail

Buy a £10 phone in asda to use for this stuff, or an old phone with a £1 SIM card.

A site supporter removes a pic they go even in saved messages but it doesn't mean they haven't right mouse clicked and saved on a pc that takes seconds quicker than the pic can be removed.
