Lasering Q for ladies please

I'm going on Friday to have a 'Hollywood' laser treatment on my lady bits, so it's all coming off. I dislike the constant shaving and unsightly stubble rash.

My Q is how many sessions did you need for there to be no regrowth? And did it hurt?

I've had mine done, and it's taken years to get clear.

You would normally book a course (typically 8 sessions) and each session will get rid of about 10% of what is left there, so it's a diminishing effect.

You need to carefully time the sessions at 2 or 4 weeks intervals to clash with your natural 3-week growth cycle.

Hair need to be shaved down to less than 1mm in length, and the process works by burning out the hair root - so yes, it does hurt! More so at the beginning, when you have more hair to absorb the energy. It gets less painful as your hair reduces. It's often likened to someone snapping a stretched elastic band at your skin - over and over again...

Being a masochist probably helps - I think it nearly turned me into one...!

In the early sessions, you absorb a lot of energy, and can go into shock shortly afterwards. Have someone to get you home, wrap up well and drink lots of water.

Use Aloe Vera gel if it gets sore...

The course won't remove everything - maybe up to 80% if you're lucky - but after that you can keep going with a home kit.

Results - wonderfully smooth, and I can feel so much more down there.

Downsides - as there's no hair to control things, even the slightest wetness down there just seems to flood everywhere - even peeing can run all over the place! And because there is no hair to keep my lips apart, sometimes they make an odd sound when I sit down - so I have to be careful! (you learn to laugh!)

It's hell, but it's worth it!

Please ask if you have any questions..

I have my pubic area and under my arms done. The most painful bit was the inner lips. I don't get any of the squelching that the previous poster gets but then maybe I'm it as moist. It does burn but if you have had a tattoo I would say the pain is just a little bit more to bare than that. Not pretty when it all scabs over buy so worth it. I'm completely hair free after 14 sessions. Go for it you won't regret it.

Thank you ladies. I've had the rest of my body done which is fab. Just nervous of delicate pain and cautious of being put out of action x

Bristol Area

The worst part for me was the pubic bone, right in the centre. I'm always glad when that bit is done and she can get on with the underneath LOL.

Each session they turn up the power level a bit, so it can get more painful. (and also can be more/less painful depending on a bunch of other things including your own health).

My underarms have worked SO well, only half way through my 8 sessions, and I am getting literally no regrowth in 6 weeks. My hollywood; I've had 10 sessions, and I do get regrowth, but it's fairer, lighter, softer and SO much less of it. But I can leave it untouched for weeks on end with nothing *visible* if I was eg. swimming. (I'd shave for a meet obvs!).

Going to buy the home kit next, any recommendations?

I had 8 sessions and I barely got through the pain, I was sweating and shaking whilst gripping the bed! However you might be totally different because you already know what to expect from your other sessions. Also, even though it's worked very well on the top it hasn't worked at all on my lips so I still have to shave. Still pleased I had it done though as I used to get terrible ingrown hairs on the top.

Well I can report that it went well despite my apprehension. She put the level fairly low but was very tolerable so turned it up one. Booked for 6 sesssions. Very happy I took the plunge for a Hollywood.

I've been loving the maintenance free silky smooth legs and underarms I had done years ago xx expensive but worth it to me
