"Any one get blocked for not replying sooner enough?"

I once had 27 messages to answer after a few weeks away and started at the oldest and one was from a couple offering me a meet. 2 messages up, next day, when clearly I hadn't been on line it was all you didn't bother replying so forget it

I recently blocked a woman who let me down last second with a ridiculous excuse.

We'd spoken on Kik and she won't stop contacting me now, apologising and begging for a 2nd chance.

I don't know how to block her on Kik.

Half of me finds it annoying. The other half, slightly flattered as I thought this wasn't a thing guys had to worry about.

Reasons I block.

Getting messed about last minute with crap excuses.

Admitting to doing some sort of background check without my knowledge (ask first and you'll probably be fine).

Guys who fab my photos.

Local people I'm not fussed about who repost the same photos on a daily basis.

Local people with photos I think are howling!

I agree most of those don't leave the person who got blocked much of a guess as why they got blocked. But it's not a reflection on the personality of the person, bar maybe the first one. So they shouldn't take it personally. End of the day.. If you're blocked, you're blocked.. not much you can do about it.. So not really worth getting upset or annoyed about.

Yep in top left corner of the chat there is a dot. Hit that and three smaller ones should pop up. Hit those and the block option is there.

Hope this helps.

And incidentally I've had that too, except she displayed a veri from the same evening we had arranged to meet lol

Ahh I saw mute.. but didn't think it did that. Thank you.

I normally use WhatsApp when switching from Fab, as I don't normally care about my own privacy so much if its got to the stage of arranging a meet.

Only joined Kik recently and haven't figured it out yet.

So I can mute or block? Does either one inform the other person you've blocked communication. I want her to get the point asap.

Feel your pain brutha lol.. first time I've actually got to the point where ive prepared and got everything ready.. then been let down. Normally it's the morning of the evening we've agreed to. I can forgive that as you have been given plenty of notice.

I've blocked you and it wasn't because of the forum.. even that's where I notice your name from. Do I have to explain why? Or am I entitled to my privacy if I choose to keep it?

I also don't agree that my reason has anything to do with being shallow, to do with what you've said, or me not having good genes and I'm pretty sure it's not my loss either.

But it's no reason to get your knickers in a twist or make wild assumptions if you've no idea why. If they don't want to explain.. they shouldn't have to.

Happen to us once, couple sent us a message asking to meet. I read it and as we are a couple thought I had better check with Alexis before replying. Got a message five minutes later saying a simple no thank you would have been polite and then they blocked us.

I have too, but my logic is they viewed my profile, I didn't match their criteria so to avoid any contact they used a function to prevent any contact.

I think people get too personal about the block button, it has multiple reasons for it's use.

I sometimes find I'm blocked but that's part and parcel of being a guy in here.

If someone doesn't reply to me I don't block them though. Either they're not interested (so they won't be checking me out anytime soon), or they are bombarded with messages and mine got missed off (easy to do and really hard to make your message stand out!)

The block button is a site tool/feature, not a punishment. Dunno why people take it so personally.

My main reason for pre-emptive blocking, is when I'm browsing profiles and they are completely incompatible. It simply serves as a reminder.

I wouldn't block people for a message-related reason, unless they sent me something abusive.

There is nothing wrong with using the block button it in general means "I don;'t want correspondence from you" its not like there aren't 1001 other people to message so why people let it bother them I don't know its better to be adult about it delete their mail and just move on.

"Not sure. We haven't replied yet.

Seriously though, don't let it bother you, if they're impatient and ignorant on a website, imagine what they would be like when meeting? "

I use the block button when I tell someone politely that they are not my type & they get abusive.

Or when I do a search & come across a profile who's criteria I don't match I block so I don't accidentally message them & irritate them & make myself look stupid.

I would say it's most unusual for single blokes to block couples, unless he realised he knew you and was not indeed single

"been blocked for liking a photo "

I've done that before too actually, someone used to look like EVERY DAY but never say owt, so I thought I'd say hi... Nothing suggestive or sinister, just something like 'i saw you'd been nosing so thought I'd say hi, incase you were too shy', or something equally as corny.. immediately deleted so I thought, well stuff you

That's just to make sure you don't try to contact them as they would not be intretested

"Reasons I block.

So not really worth getting upset or annoyed about."

You think they're me!?! Why are you blocking me what did i ever do to you...uppity get..

Had this happen to us today, a couple messaged us asking if we were in quest at the weekend. I didn't see it as we were elsewhere and it's surely considered rude to fab on a meet? Then we were hungover so any response greater than ugggg is a challenge.

But alas it saved us letting them down gently

Been blocked by people I didn't even know were on here by people I have never spoken to...

And by one or two who have had a stampy foot tantrum....

Even been blocked unblocked by someone who sent an abusive txt then blocked me again..

The powers of communication here sometimes bemused me...

But if they block me...perhaps they lose something too...

Wow this thread is an eye opener! Are people really that irritated about being blocked? to me its just a way of saying you are not interested in chatting and saves everyone a lot of time its pointless reading too much into it.

When a guy messages, if I know I'm not going to say yes to him. I'll say no thank you, wish him happy swinging and block immediately.

Because, it just saves us both hassle. I don't come up on his search, so he doesn't accidentally message again.

It also stops the guys who think they can convince you by being persistent.

And unfortunately some guys get incredibly nasty when they've been turned down. Which can be a real downer when I've tried to be kind. I'd rather avoid that too.

So, big fan of the block button!

Like you say it's one less person or persons you have to feel the need to chat to and can get on chatting with those that interest you

I personally think it's a case of do onto others as you would them to do onto you, if you're polite and curteous, it's not unreasonable to expect a little bit back.

There's never any reason for abaicke behaviour to anyone. Irrespective of which side you are on ie solicited or unsolicited

We are all adults here for similar reasons, it would be much nicer if some people remembered that and acted accordingly

Not really but I got blocked after telling someone how big my cock is.

I mean seriously, some people have no sense of adventure...
