Well it seems that Beeswax has the highest melting point (Source Wikipedia), just be careful as the hotter the wax the greater the chance of burns.

Some chemicals/oils can make the flame burn hotter, increasing the heat of the wax but these can also cause skin irritation so just be careful if using candles not intended for wax play.

We have found that if you cover the area of skin with clingfilm first, this for some reason, can make the wax seem hotter when it hits the skin, so perhaps try that.

I remember someone on here saying birthday candles were very hot. We've only used the bondage candles from Ann Summers; they were hot enough for me.
