Lost confidence

Completely lost my body confidence and it's putting me off attending clubs, where as I used to go every couple of weeks. Naturally while my fiance is supportive he's eager to get out and socialise as usual, but I'm having a hard time of it. I have pcos and recently gained some weight, I was a size 18 to begin with. I've upped my gym trips to 5 times a week as opposed to 3 and keeping on top of my meds but fuck me is it hard to stay positive. Any ladies out there with this horrible disease will get me

You think I should just suck it up and go even if I feel self conscious or maybe I should have a break for a bit? At a total loss guys

If you just went anyway would you be strong enough? Or would you feel that every glance your way was a critical one? If you might feel like that I think it would be a good idea to have a break and rebuild your self esteem in conjunction with your partner.

Lack of body confidence is a hard thing to break, but it can be done.

Very few people actually care what you look like. And even if they did it's their problem not yours.

Does your fiancé still find you sexy? Are you still the same woman inside?

Sexiness does not come from body shape I can assure you. Because if it did I'd be very unsexy. And worrying about it is just a waste of your life.

PCOS is a total nuisance but don't let your weight ruin your lifestyle

Awww hugs to you. If you are feeling that self conscious, perhaps a little break would be best until you feel a little more confident in your skin? It sounds like you have a very supportive fiance, which is wonderful.

I have pcos and I've been like this before. I took a break because I literally just hated being at a club. Sorted my head out and have been fine

Seems like you could do with a break. If you force it, you'll do more harm than good and nobody wants that.

You've got to look after number one.

Take care of yourself.

I don't struggle with pcos, so can't comment on that, but I have had major battles with body image---I've found that going to clubs gave me a tremendous boost in confidence. Not only do people NOT point and stare at my wobbly bits, they chat and approach me.

It took a few visits, but I've gained a lot from club visits. Hopefully, if you do decide to go again, you'll find the same acceptance I have and remember that you are far more than the number on your scales.

Op maybe it's time to treat yourself to some new underwear. Something that makes you feel sexy. Get yourself back in the mood. It works for me when I am feeling a little down.

It's also no issue if you want to give clubs a miss for a while, but you know that women of all shapes and sizes go don't you.

But like I said at the beginning. Treat yourself to something nice. Try to look at yourself through the eyes of your partner and don't be so critical of yourself.

You are as sexy as you feel no matter what size you are

I have pcos, best thing I ever did was swap to a high protein low carb diet, lost 4 stone. Depending at what your doing at the gym it may not help you, been there done that, hiit training and weights helped me.

Hi OP,

Pcos can be such a nightmare and loosing confidence can make you feel really rotten. I've got pcos and a mummy tummy so feel your pain.

However I think your pics look great, the lights in clubs are always flattering and you only live once. Sticking to a no nothing nice diet can be bloody hard, sex is a great reward along with new underwear that makes you feel nice. Latex is great for showing off your curves and pulling you in.

Maybe try getting more comfortable seeing yourself naked again and get the OH to tell you how he sees your bod. It's probably very different from how you see it. My OH took pictures of me and I didn't believe him that he hadn't photoshopped them, I just couldn't comprehend the sexy lady was me! and when your ready venture out.

I can relate to this totally, also have pcos and a back problem that has made me gain weight so not feeling very confident at all lately, stopped meeting and clubbing. I think having a break has it made is good for a bit,I brought some new underwear took some sexy pics and that helps sometimes. Not sure what else to say but (( hugs)) Hope you find your mojo soon xx

I feel your pain op I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 16, I also have an underactive thyroid. My weight as been nothing but a constant battle ever since. I've recently got back down from a size 32 to a size 16 but it's taken me 5 years of working my arse off to achieve and now I seem to have completely stalled and can't get past that size 16. Regardless of how active I am the slightest bad day off of my SW regime and I can put anywhere between 7-14lbs a week on it's absolutely shit! But keep at it you will get there I have it's just a much slower process than it is with others.

I'll admit I know little of what it is your going through, but I can tell from the way you write and those that are similar to you, that it sounds a dreadful thing to live with.

From a body confidence point of view though, you look stunning and there are plenty of people out there (myself included) that would think so.

Look after number one and do whatever you feel you want to do xx

The problem with feeling self conscious is no matter what others say you cannot see it yourself.

As for advice I have none as I'm struggling with my OH's confidence at the moment. But as I've said to her I still find her damn sexy that's why I'm marrying her. Basically what I'm trying to say is only 2 people really matter you and your partner as long as your happy fuck others.
