Ive tried but they never turn out any good ! Never get the right look or angle sorry im a bit Ocd like that lol x

If your wife can't take your pictures you can use the timer on your phones camera app.

Buy a selfie stick.

I always look terrible when other people take my photo. Much prefer to do my own.
