Catching stuff from oral

It would appear most people play safe. Condoms for intercourse but sometimes not for oral. We have read previous threads on risk of oral and don't underestimate it but does anyone know of any incidences of people catching an STD from oral on the site.

we met a medical couple and they seemed fine with the oral risk so just wondering if anyone has real life stories rather than from the Internet.

Again not underestimating any risk here but perhaps understandably not many talk about real experience of anyone catching anything.

it is a risk, a reduced risk but a risk none the less.

regular check ups are hugely important.

cold sores are a major issue and one that many fail to recognise as an STD risk

as cold sores are so widespread and taken as being part of life (like a cold or flu) a lot of people fail to draw the link between cold sores and genital herpes

Everyone of us takes risks to varing degrees. If we add ups the pros and cons we can decide what risks we wish to take.

Well ok.. real life..

I've performed more bjs than I can count... I've never once caught anything... I also swallow or eat cum pretty much every single time...

No ideas on numbers but we are talking this year at least 30 guys possibly more for oral... so to me the risk is minimal.

yup agree totally and as diamond said above we all take risks

i'd never dream of using a condom for oral

so in doing that, i take a risk

i'm sure you can still pass on diseases without catching them yourself though.....you know like a carrier? worth a thought for us that love it tho!

yes aware of that but thats why regular check ups are a must. For all...

Everyone does talk about risks and relative risks but it's always good to know some real life experiences. If the feedback had been that plenty of people knew folk who had caught something then the risk would definitely appear quite high. The lack of feedback may appear to indicate that the risk is indeed quite low (as we expected and accept) though obviously it not a very scientific way to assess it.

I don't take cim though love giving oral, and would never think of using a condom.

To be frank, I'd love to take a creamy load too but I'm scared stiff of the stuff! Weird huh.
